Managed to meet the DHS usual 3 to watch Pirates of the Carribean today :) It's been such a long time since I last saw the 3 of them, excluding Jocelyn and Cynthia whom I last saw at the CS concert. Zuxin was in Italy then, and I made the GRAVE mistake of trying to call her on the day of CS concert, because I thought she was coming along with us! No wonder there was the suspecting rhythemic beeping of the ringtone when I tried calling her O.o

Anyway, we met up at Orchard MRT and decided to make our way to Cine first. Cynthia was LATE, because she realised she didn't bring her spectacles out at which stop? DHOBY GAUT. And where does she stay? SERANGOON. SMART EH.

It's queer how someone would forget to bring something as basic as their SPECTACLES. Nevermind, maybe it's the same for someone (me) who would forget to bring their handphone out too, which would be a queer phenomenem for someone who has their handphone stuck to their hands 24/7.

We decided on the 3.40 show so we could make time for Cynthia to fly back to her Serangoon house to get her spectacles. Cynthia arrived sooner than we expected though; at around 2.10 when she smsed us at around 1.50. But ah well, we just went to Kobayashi to eat some Jap stuff... It wasn't too bad, quite worth the money :) But I'd prefer Pastamania :D Zuxin is sick of Pastamania since she had perhaps a week of pasta at her dear little old Italy. Chatted a bit...

Jocelyn and Zuxin got us souvenirs too! Jocelyn and Zuxin got theirs from her level camp at Malaysia and Italy respectively. It's really thoughtful of them :)

Necklace from italy; keychain from malaysia

Went on to the cinema after that. Pirates 3 wasn't too bad, but I'd prefer Pirates 2 anytime. Sometimes their accent is too strong to catch anything, and sadly I started yawning towards the end since it got a little draggy. But most of all,

THERE WAS THIS CRAZY TALL WOMAN WHO WAS SITTING IN FRONT OF ME, SO TALL THAT HER WHOLE HEAD WAS ABOVE THE SEAT AND ITS LIKE, A BUSH?!?! IT COVERED ONE QUARTER OF THE SCREEN.

I couldn't see anything at all. I had to crane my neck before I could at least catch of glimpse of Jack Sparrow himself, despite his face taking up about half of the gigantic cinema screen. I decided to lean across to Jocelyn (who was sitting beside me) to get a better view. It did work, but it ended up getting my neck as cramped instead -.- I was so tempted to chop that woman's head off.

Anyway, I left the cinema feeling sulky and unsatisfied. I think I'll buy the DVD when it comes out, along with Pirates 1 and 2 as well. I couldn't catch the earlier two episodes properly. Lol, I think Zuxin, Jocelyn and I kept asking Cynthia questions regarding the plot of the movie since she was the only one who managed to get everything clear.

After dinner at BK, we went to take neos~! Something that's totally rare for Cynthia to do, since she isn't really keen on taking neoprints at all.

meh, they look blur =/

Went to the arcade later on too, and watched Jocelyn and Zuxin play Para Para. Lol this machine seemed more difficult as compared to the one at Plaza Sing, and it was quite sad that they chose the wrong mode for one of the tries: choosing HARD instead of BASIC LOL. $3 down the drain~ But there was another machine that was more worth it lah, since it was $2 and you get to play longer as well. It was the one that focuses on hand gestures you know, and Jocelyn and Zuxin became BIRDS while playing that game since they were practically flapping their hands throughout the dance LOL.

Mahh, and that's all for today. There was morning training, which was =/ And there's coach training tmr too. Just great, its at 7.45am as well. ):

Aristal

Muahahah, long time since I've updated actually. I'm becoming lazier and lazier... not like that's a good thing. 'Tis gonna be a long post, with lots of pictures :)

I was supposed to meet Desiree and Zhirong at Dover MRT at 1745 so we could take 74 down to NgeeAnn. Unfortunately, I was LATE as usual, and ended up reaching Cityhall at 1745 instead! I had to pick up some flowers before leaving for Dover lol. The flowers were nice! At least it was better than ColdStorage Roses $1.50/stalk. And their colours were brighter too, so I guess its pretty value for money. I haven't seen those at Serene Centre though so ahh well.

^^ flowers! Pink for Huiwei; Dark Orange for Charlyn; Marigold for Daniel

Desiree and Zhirong decided to meet me at Tanjong Pagar instead after I picked up my flowers. WOW they looked stunning. Desiree looked nice with her hair let down and her long sleeved shirt which looked pretty sweet. Zhirong was poser, with this black polo blouse and pants. It was weird, because he unbuttoned two/three?? buttons from his collar, and HE WAS WEARING A SHIRT INSIDE. That totally spoiled it, since he looked more like an uncle then. Sadly, I didn't manage to get pictures.

We got there pretty early, and managed to get seats directly in front of the VIP ones!! XDXD HAHAHAHA! We met minlu at the Convention Centre and she was sitting with us with her obiang white stalia shirt -.- HURHUR! Anyway, Ama and Lynna were taking a long time to come, so they told us to book two seats beside minlu for them. Unfortunately for them, they took A REALLY LONG TIME TO COME and coincidentally, we saw Kristy and Fish looking around frantically for seats. Oh well, we can't possibly leave them in the lurch like this.. so we gave up Ama and Lynna's seats for them! LOL, they were pretty pissed with us, since they ended up sitting 20m above us XD Sorry!

Anyway, back to the performance! The starting piece by western dance was okay... Not much impression of it though.

some ballerina thing...

Most importantly, it were the people dancing on stage! From our view we could spot lots of familiar people, like Huiwei, Charlyn, Daniel, Avril, Shanti, Melissa, Chuyun, Sneha, Amanda, Gwen, Saniah, Minh, Lakshimi, Liyana, Huiting, Davina, Rachel etcetc. Maybe I missed a few but ah well.

I love her dance though :)

I loved this the best out of the western dances, despite the last part when they strip and become powerpuff girls, as stated from Desiree lol. It spoiled the whole thing I feel, but the part at the beginning was really nice :) Mainly cos I liked the music HAHA!

the other western dance that I liked

This was the other western dance that I liked. The things with the fans was really cool since that was the memorable thing of this dance lol. Overall, it was cool with their jumping movements and all, but I heard that there was this guy who dropped this poor girl twice during this dance. I didn't notice it, but thankfully it didn't ruin the whole majestic effect.

Next, it would be Huiwei's Dance! I know her two dances were really quick, but I paid more attention to the first one since I was busy taking pictures. Hais I still can't get over the last time I saw her with makeup and all. Totally looks different from Huiwei lah!! Yeah she looks more malay like that. Desiree said that Huiwei was smiling more than usual and that she looked really happy! LOL, i spotted some parts where was she was sian.. then SMILEEEE. More like smiling for the sake of smiling LOL. Heard that she went for smiling lessons too o.O

Next was little Daniel. HAHAHAHAHA HE LOOKED DAMN FUNNY AND CUTE MANNN. Maybe cos he was totally contrasted as compared to the rest of the Male Indian Dancers, since hes so PETITE. Hahah but could see him smiling really widely and enjoying himself so much. He looked like a little monkey though XD

HAHAHAH!

There was the indian dance SYF. Gold with Honours! The costumes were rather appealing.

Hahaha, that was about it actually. There are other pictures of the dances here too.

then went to KAP for macdonalds dinner later. Got home really late since I missed the bus unknowingly =/ Thanks to Eugene for waiting with me at the busstop. But I'm not used to such gestures, although ppl keep saying that it is the guy's duty to do such things, esp when its so late.

Mundane...

Holidays have finally started. =/ I don't feel that post-holiday excitement at all. Holidays seem to be the start of hell... Nationals! Projects, and studying for exams. Crap lah.

There's gonna be the standard training camp this June Holidays, as what they did for last year. Unfortunately, its not gonna be at NTU but instead in school!! AHHHHHH I don't like it this way. ): Although NTU has crappy hostels, but I guess that's better than sleeping on tables for one week straight ): Haisss... perhaps the reason being that we don't have enough funds for to afford the NTU hostel. So yeah... I think we'll be training at Safra instead of CdanS though? Overheard the conversation between Coach and Hanson I think. Yeah Safra is definitely much better.

Aristal is tonight! I hope it'll be nice.

There was this email forwarded to my DHS friends on this touching Singaporean story. If I receive such emails I won't even bother to open it lah, but the content took place at NJC?! o.O And yeah it really was quite moving... The content is cliche, but the author wrote the story really naturally.

A little unexpected

There was once a man who always didn't meet expectations. He tried very hard, and yes, he did succeed now and then, but sooner or later, it was just back to square one. It wasn't enough.

"Why? Why do I always make the same mistakes? Time and again. I'm beginning to think that maybe this isn't worth it at all."

At this point of time, there was a voice,

"Why, it's simple. All you have to do is believe in yourself."

Out of frustration, the man shouted,

"No! I'm tired of everyone saying that. I've been believing and trying, but it always results to nothing. It just doesn't work. There's no solid proof that it does."

Calmly, the voice reasoned,

"You see, that's a sign of doubt. You've begun to doubt yourself unknowingly. If you don't give yourself a chance to believe wholeheartedly, you'll never attain what you want, and there will never be proof at all."

“Faith is expectancy. You do not receive what you want; you do not receive what you pray for, not even what you say you have faith in. You will always receive what you actually expect.” - Eric Butterworth

Mehh, SISC week is so boring. Looking at all the foreign students coming in is kinda cool though. I had a good laugh at some of the uniforms, especially the Korean ones LOL. It looks like they came from North Korea, since they were wearing 韩服 and all.

Anyway, MI debate is finally over. Gosh it was so crap, but at least we presented our case lah. Unfornately, we didnt rebutt the proposition's case well enough, so yea we were kinda screwed. Hurhurhur, not like our stand was very good to begin with.

This house believes that the blame for the Rwandan Genocide (does not) lie in the people who watched the tragedy unfold and did nothing

OH WOW. nvm.

And again, the crap sexuality talks officially ends today, after 8h of non-stop ranting -.- I think they got the contents straight from the Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus Book, and guess what, I have two copies of it at home! Rarrrhhh I can read it up myself thanks. It was funny why the content for both sessions seem more interesting after the break instead of before =/

Really, there isn't much to write today. GC board is due on Friday! Gosh.
No one has the right to judge people, but sometimes its just reality

NJCIS

I wanted to blog about this on saturday after my shoot.. But anyway, here it is. Side effects of sleeping late kicking in; got to complete hwk as soon as possible. Lol, made a list of the incoming hwks on the sidebar. It looks... freaky. And I don't think its updated enough!

Anyway, the shoot was quite okay. 93, 87?!?!?, 92,93: 365. My standard is about the same as compared to my previous monthly shoot. That's not good with the upcoming Nationals and all; Better get back into form as soon as possible > < I felt rather nervous in when I was doing dryfire. At least I managed to get my positioning at first try, but the sightings proved otherwise. I could feel myself fidgetting while shooting and I guess that led to a few flyaway shots. Hahaha and felt pressurised by the people around me since they started competition shot much faster than I did.

In the end, the shoot turned out fine... despite some careless 甩枪s, and some instability problem. Zzz... But I seriously got to work on my mental and triggering. At least that problem wasn't as bad as my monthly. AHHHHHH but the only thing I'm pekcek about is that 87!!! I thought I shot okayy for that series despite taht seven and a few eights hahaha waaa but I didnt expect it to drop to an 80+! I wanted to check my cards again, but I couldnt lah... Since according to normal rules, I heard that we could only doublecheck the cards only if we paid $50 O.o it is a cruel world. I was also DARN ANGRY before the shoot because some ASS MOVED MY GUN AND MY SUIT TO SOME UNKNOWN POSITION. What the hell I wanted to slap something at that moment. Desiree said she didnt hit well enough, since she didnt hit her 380 HURHUR. She hit a 377 instead, which is considered pretty good compared to her previous 372 in Cdans. Anddd, she got an individual gold too lah! D:< style="font-style: italic;">Actually the credibility of that statement doesnt hold unless it really proves itself.

Yeah but well, I don't think many NJ people shot well for this invitational. What's the most shocking was Jodie from KCP. She's this NYT girl who is SUPER PRO, with a p700 and an average score of high 380s. Unfortunately for this competition, they were informed late that they could in fact use their national guns for the competition, so they had to use school guns instead. She ended up hitting a 363!! =/ I don't knw whether she was really affected, but from the last time I saw her she still looked fine.

The next day was pretty fine, with scoring duties galore. Gosh I think I scored for all four details straight, and by the end of it I was so shagged I could've slept by the table in 5mins. There was a lot of tension in the scoring room too because of all the discreptancies and the chasing of unknown people. Hahaha I think my mental calculation has improved after this HAHAHA. But there were a few mistakes I made, like writing down of the wrong score when it was so obviously wrong. I became abnormally strict towards the end of the shoot too =/ Aiya you cant blame someone who has been staring at cards for 4 details straight. Weilin did that too! It's around 6h of maths =___=

There were a few interesting stuff that happened during duty, like the witnessing of the FLYING COCKROACH. Gosh its the first time I've ever seen a flying cockroach and its the most disgusting thing I've ever saw. Some of the pistol guys and Joannah, Shiqi and I were at the lobby eating our lunch... until suddenly Shiqi saw a HUGE cockroach overhead. It was climbing along the banister and oh mannn it was darn huge. We all siam-ed lah, and we were staring at it intently.. UNTIL IT STARTED SPREADING ITS WINGS AND FLYING TOWARDS THE PLANTS. Oh man we got a huge shock, and from then on we just dispersed towards the other lobby lol.

Oh the good thing about this shoot was that, I saw DHS people! Keatyin, Xiaoxuan, Valerie and JUNYAAAAA. Gosh we had so many things to talk about, but I was too busy complaining about my 87 to her. I wanted to murder Keatyin too since she SHOT HIGHER THAN ME ZZ.. Heard that she's shooting EVERYDAY from now on, and she shot a 372 that day. ugh..

this is yanwen the pimple face. he looks horrid

Hahah and that was about it for the shoot. Nothing much huh. I guess the excitement has just died down...

Watched Dramafest on the day of the shoot too. I went to Shiqi's house for fun before the shoot, and she showed me some celebrity gossip website which was kinda interesting. There was also this Marilyn Manson MV which was... DISTURBING. His voice isn't that nice anyway -.- The MV is Heart-shaped Glasses? You all could check it out... if you're interested.

Dramafest was okay... The first two dramas didnt really appeal to me though, but the last two were nice enough. Yeah, the coffin was definitely one of the better ones, with the great acting and proper pronounciation. Andre can really act gay man lol. The SYF show was pretty good too, with the props and everything. Kristy acted in it! And she's OLD.

kristy with bunned up hair and shes standing up. she looks orh-bit

I was supposed to meet Huiwei earlier at 7 in school, but I ended up reaching there late instead because the side gate wasnt open! AND SHE WAS DAO-ING ME BECAUSE OF THAT.

WHAT A COLD-HEARTED CREATURE.

But yea, i got to do something about my punctuality issue. =/

I cant rmb what went on for these two days. I knw the incoming week will be pretty slack with some crap SEXUALITY EDUCATION THING =/, and random lessons. There's also MI debate coming up. I am doomed.

OHYA, and I was disturbing my xl's friend gabby on msn earlier. she was showing off her webcam so see how cool her webcam is!

cool manzxzx she is a gorilla

DHSCS concert

This year's DHSCS concert was not bad! At least it was better than last year's, since we had better seats this time :) Felt that the 相声 last year was more interesting though, but the 戏剧 was much better this year. However, so far the best I've seen was the one held during the CS concert in 2005 in the auditorium. Minlu might know what I'm talking about.

Went to get flowers for them at RafflesCity before departing for VCH. Cynthia came at around 6.15 while denise came at around 5.45 I think? HUR, for once, I'm the early one.

It started off with 京剧,you know, those people with heavy makeup and super high voices. Omg, I really admire these people to have such patience and timing to go along with the music. Their diaphragm control is good too, since they can sort of, 拉音 quite well. BUT THE BEST STILL HAS TO BE THEIR PITCH. Gosh, its godlike. Unfortunately, 京剧 isnt to my taste, so I didnt really pay attention.

The 相声 was interesting enough. I felt that last year's one gave a more lasting impression though. HURHURHUR, but the basis to 相声 is to just keep the crowd entertained for as long as possible. They focused more on 冷笑话 and some sort of witty and sarcastic remarks for this time round. It was rather entertaining if they do it in moderation, but not when the whole 相声 revolves around that, and that only.

one of the better pieces. LOL, they're pretending to be wolves.

戏剧 seemed better this year, considering the acting skills and all. I liked the first drama, which was about some sort of maid abuse in Singapore. -___- I think they acted so well that I started to hate one of the actresses. Some parts seemed too dramatic to be realistic though, but well, its drama. OH AND I SAW SISWO THERE TOO. Omg he changed so much. He looks fatter now =/

my favourite drama. too dramatic though. the grandma merely has the role of spasming.

舞蹈 was cool as usual! This year's was MUCH BETTER THAN LAST YEAR'S,since I could at least see the faces of Jocelyn, Lyon and Shunying MORE CLEARLY. The first malay dance was damn funny though, since the music seemed like BOLLYWOOD style... I particularly like their SYF dance though, it was majestic.

funny malay dance

SYF piece!

hahaha, and at the end of the concert, it was rather heartwarming to see all the CS ppl get up on stage and cheer and everything.. Went up to stage to give them the flowers too ^^ I saw lots of DHS classsmates too!! Junya, Xiaoyou, Geraldine, Zhiyin, Chenying, Shunjie, Grace from 2D, and many moreeeeeee...

denise gave me a lift home after that. thanks gal :D

Well, whole load of concerts and competition coming up...

Tomorow: NJCIS (8:30 detail!! BETTER SLEEP EARLY)

WAHHHHHHHHHHH! (lau eh)

OMG today wasn't a good day at all. And WHY did blogger delete my fulll blogpost which was initally posted at 10.42?! It even said that it was published! zzz... Today was already, bad enough.

First, I was late for training. lol,not like Im always not late, but this time I was REALLY late. Like 15mins late ><>crap shots after taking Leonard's lane, and again, THANKFULLY, there weren't any more cards left for stapling so Julie can't impose that penalty on meeeeeeeeee! :D:D

Second, there was yeah, CHEM SPA. I didn't think it was much of a big deal since it was only Skill C, the basic plotting graph tings. I just took in mind the graph specifications... what was needed etc. In school I started learning about the reasoning and such, since I fell right asleep when I reached that part ytd. (ended up sleeping on the floor -.-) HOWEVER, real skills are really tested at the battleground, and unfortunately for me, I crumbled. It was quite a waste, since everything was going on very well, UNTIL i realised I committed the most basic mistake of all, convertion of the SI units!! Turns out Qingyun, Kristy and Daniel committed the same mistake too, so at least I'm not alone >< But still... ITS A WASTE... Whats worse, I realised I made the mistake DURIng the test when there were ten minutes left, so decided to just leave it, and watch my marks fly away...

Third, I was late for tuition again, since I had tuition again. There was this massive jam which was worse than ytd, so it didnt matter if whether I left the house earlier or nt (lol, how early can I get) But at least there was Leo from 01 who was in the same replacement class as I, so at leas there was some company. Realised Charvi from 05 goes for the same tuition too! And sadly, I wasnt in the same replacement class as Ona, OH WELL. :)

Wednesday, May 16, 2007

WOW blogger is back to normal again. FANTASTIC! It's about time they did that though -.-

Anyway, I just came back from tuition. It's 10+. Decided to drop by home after sports day before going to tuition, and I thought it was rather miraculous that both the buses that I took home came quite fast: rushed for 961 with Lava (whilst waving frantically to the bus uncle to open the door), and bus 5. However, when I reached home it was around 7+ already, and tuition starts at 7.30, at NOVENA. WTH, so I rushed like shit. I have never taken bus to tuition before so I ended up MISSING my stop and HALF WALKED/SPRINTED to tuition. Bloody crap shit -.-

The lesson was rather crappy as well. Waste of time... And yes tmr I have ANOTHER session of tuition: Replacement class. Replacement for the last time I missed it due to SEAAF. ANDDD the day after there's MI debate!! !@#$%^&

Let me strangle something.

But on a lighter note, AT LEAST ECONS PRESENTATION IS FINALLY OVER... despite Kristy not presenting the benefits and disadvantages of supply-side policy because she had investiture. Our powerpoint was good :D:D:D At least it wasn't too wordy. The concepts were easily understandable as well; and with well-prepared handouts, I hope the two clases managed to understand what we were saying :) The casestudy portion done by 03 was good too! LOL, at least they bothered to add different types of presentation to their ppt, like video.. skit etc. It was quite welldone as well.

THANKYOU KRISTY FOR ALWAYS HAVING TO EDIT THE HANDOUTS
THANKYOU MINLU FOR FINDING (a little) INFO (but no thanks to your AP attitude today)
THANKYOU ZHUOCHUN FOR THE FABULOUS PPT, ITS THE BEST I'VE EVER SEEN XD

yes thats it.

there was sportsmeet today too. didnt really do much since i wasnt running.. i think only jingmin from our class ran for netball in the inter-cca competition though. hurhurhur, our class is rather slack lah. she got thirdplace for it too! Goodjob :)the rest of the time was spent on useless ranting... multiple trips to the milo truck ( i think i drank 3< cups of milo ._.) and i bought oheya too. :) was crazying around with ama and charlyn too lol. Kristy doesnt dare to go to walk to the (from toilets) left side of the grandstand. I wonder why.

that was it. dear phoonyou (?) (minlu's dear friend) was waving the flag so frantically. LOL, he looked damn funny, but in another way, it was sort of innocently cute as well. we shouldnt tease him so much.

Sunday, May 13, 2007

Dammit, I realised I have tons of stuff on next week ):

Wednesday: Econs Presentation, Tuition
Thursday: Tuition
Friday (18/5): DHSCS Concert
Saturday (19/5): NJCIS, NJC Dramafest
Sunday (20/5): NJCIS

And now I need to squeeze Jiang Tuition into one of the dates. Its the last lesson, but its not good to miss lessons so yea... Maybe I'll miss it if I'm really that busy.

Denise woke me up at 9+ today, when of course, I was still sleeping lol. She asked if I could accompany her to National Library, since she had to print some materials for inspiration for her Art. Hais, Art is really troublesome, but I guess it'll all be worthwhile in the end bah. Anyway, I arranged to meet her at 1, and zzz continued sleeping...

Then, moments later, Xiuxian started screaming at me

"EH JIE, I THOUGHT YOU MEETING DENISE AT 1PM"
"... huh yea. what time issit now"
"1230 lah!

And off I went! Went off to brush my teeth and bathe and change lalala... Denise called me while I was brushing my teeth. She asked where I was, and well, Xiulun simply said in a matter of fact: SHES BRUSHING HER TEETH. I decided to meet her at 1.30 instead. Haissss... I got to do something about my sleeping habits.

Ohhh and when I was on the way to TB MRT, I realised something shocking.

I FORGOT TO GET MONEY...
so i have ZERO

Goodluck to me. Denise called me when I was in a state of shock. I wanted to go back to get my money, but oh well she told me to forget it. Sooo the whole day I was totaly reliant on her LOL.

Treated me to:
1) Subway Lunch
2) Haagen Daz Icecream! (VOUCHER :D:D)

THANKYOU DENISE YOU JUST SAVED ME LIFE. We went to National Library to get more of her temple stuff. She's touching on that for her O level art. Well, we got two brilliant pictures, but other than that there's nothing else ): It wasnt as productive as the other one, but well better than nothing.

its home after that. Minlu's feeling kinda sad because there's no one from our class who is going for her Piano Ensemble Concert. >< I cant make it.. But its kinda disappointing when theres no one from your class going to support you, especially since you've worked so hard for it.

My mood for blogging was spoilt because,
1) Zhuochun's computer is so advanced that the PPT he sent me is done in PPT 2007, and I can't open it with my noob PPT 2003. -__- The drawbacks of modern technology. I had to download PPT viewer 2007, and there were still some problems in opening the programme. I was so exasperated.
2) Xiuxian cant solve a simple programming problem on computer. Copying and pasting is simple enough, and blahhhh long story lah. It made me even more annoyed because she kept asking in a whiney voice -____- And because of reason 1.
3) Irritating MSN sounds which aggravate my mood even more.
ANGST ANGST ANGST
and i realise everyone is geting sick. for example
huiwei was sick
kaiting was sick
lynna was sick
kristy was sick
denise is sick
chiansiang is sick
nh is sick
wanyun is sick
TOTAL CASUALTIES: 8
nice job man.
周日八点档 is quite nice. I like the part where the celebraties go to commoner's houses to find stuff LOOOL. Jacky Wu is darn lame and yeah hes the best commentator I've ever seen. He's a pretty good talent scout too, scouting singers like: Jay Chou, Elva Hsiao, CaiMinYou blalalala... Oh and speaking of Elva, Shiqi says 我报has an article of Elva WITHOUT MAKEUP. Omg she looks really different.
Anyway... There was monthly today at SAFRA... AND
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT I GOT MY 9 AVERAGE BACKKKKKKKK!
HAHAHA it was a 364 though. 93, 90,90,91. not very good considering my last year standards, BUT VERY GOOD CONSIDERING MY CURRENT STANDARD OF 350S WTH. I even had the cheek to shoot a 320+ once. WTH I was so darn pissed with myself then. But hearing from Peixin, yeah I shot too fast, around 55 mins. Teddy says I should rest more often hurhur. But I think I'm too kanchiong lah, hurrying to cock my gun after every shot. I feel like I'm on autopilot doing that haha. I feel that I'm trembling a lot while aiming too. And I dropped my card twice during the competition -.- Lol, but it was weirdly stress-relieving though.
Desiree, Shiqi and I were ranked consecutively! Desiree felt that she didnt shoot as well because she was fidgetting.. Maybe she should have calmed herself down before every shot, so she'll be more stable. Well, that's what I did, and it does work. Shiqi felt that she didnt shoot well, but at least she knows her mistakes. :) She can work on it the next round! Andy, Xuyang and Leonard shot pretty well too! LOL, andy is stressed cos juniors are shooting better than him...
Basically the problems that I faced for this shoot were: Poor Mental and Trigger Co-ordination. I tend to go astray after every 20shots too =/
Solutions for this problem: ENCOURAGE YOURSELF! And focus on triggering. Rhythm is very important.
Thanks to Peixin, Joannah and Julie for coming down today too! :) I used to feel that going down to support a monthly shoot is kinda pointless. As in, its just a monthly shoot ma, not much of a big affair. But after having them there, yeah it does make a difference after all :)
I went out to J8 with Shiqi after that. Talked a bit... and we walked for so longgggggggg! hahaha she wanted to get a present for her mother, and ended up getting her a photoframe. We saw this really cute mug at Precious Thoughts! Didnt get it though since I had no money
then went out for dinner with my parents lor. its MOTHER'S DAY TOMORROW PEOPLE, and my mother is in HONGKONG. lol diao. nvm, i got her someting already. some gingerbread thing that i ahem, made. :)
OH AND I WENT TO THE FISHSHOP TODAY! Long time since ive been there. Took a few pics

muahaha WORMS

orange fish

docile fighting fish

angry fighting fish (not v clear though =/)

yet another one..

ugly goldfish. it has protruding eyes

=/ I can't stand Blogger and its html codings. It's totally screwed up, with its toolbar stillll being vertical. So annoying! I can't even post in HTML mode. -.- I need my post edited! Seriously, I think the old Blogger is much better than the New one. What are the changes since Google collaborated with (or I get the impression of taking over) Blogger? Someone enlighten me.

Realised I haven't been blogging for 4 days. That's so amazing. There wasn't much that happened in the week too though =/ It's either I'm not observing much or I'm just lazy.

There was halfday today too! How exciting. HOWEVER, halfday always comes with its drawbacks: WE STAYED IN SCHOOL FOR ELECTIONS FROM 1-6?!?!?! It didn't seem as boring as last year though, maybe because I knew more people now than then. And Congratulations to the new Exco Members! Here's the finalized list (so as to add substantial content to this post)

Desiree and Shiqi both ran for Vicecap and Secretary respectively. HURHUR Desiree was prancing around! But at least the crowd could hear her, and she presented her points clearly enough. Ahem, and YES you are brilliant at mental training!!! (come to think of it, I think the library book Joannah lent me on self-confidence is overdue) Shiqi made her stand very well I feel. It was clear enough and it was focused too. :)

I didnt run for anything.. Felt a little regretful after that, since well, most of the IP2s are running but not I. It's really a good experience to contribute to the club lah, but I guess I'm hum, or I feel that I'm not cut out for it sometimes. Weird person I am. I'll definitely run next year....!

That's about it for today. I'll blog about more interesting stuff next time. Blogging seems enjoyable all over again.

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY QINGYUN! :)

你真无聊

wth is wrong with blogger?? why is the toolbar vertical on BOTH of the computers?? Here's a screenshot for you people's reference on what I'm talking about. (Basically I am just very bored, so I have resorted to typing-to-empty-space aka blogging)

Doing maths makes me demoralised. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 为什么~ 什么都不会做为什么为什么为什么~

dottiness

nothing special happened today so too bad for me. i spent more money than usual today haisss.. and i taught xx math today haisss because she was throwing a tantrum and tearing paper and threatening to tear the house down too but i doubt she has the power. my wallet was also stolen by desiree again haisss and i couldnt be bothered to find it but in the end i found it anyway so hurray for me. and zhuochun managed to solve stupid binomial series q6 for kaiting and kristy and i and probably everyone else who doenst know how to do binomial series q6 so praise zhuochun.

talk about nothing special huh. its just these little things which make the day more interesting.
dumb -.-

whenever i stand at the first floor of the TC block and gaze upwards into TC34 (my class), I always have this queer feeling... a desire and a want...

TO GET OUR CLASSROOM TO A LOWER LEVEL SO WE DONT HAVE TO CLIMB SO MANY STAIRCASES

and wishing that i could sprout wings and fly. then i start thinking about how birds feel when they fly. perhaps a very carefree feeling i suppose, but nothing much i guess. they've got no feelings at all, so maybe they'll just be looking for a nice branch to land on, or if you're a predator, looking for prey to swoop down upon and feast on. bleh, typical animal instinct.

i think of the weirdest things.

=/ how come my toolbar is vertical instead of horizontal?? Annoying...

Xiuxian's having her Science test tmr, and I'm showing off my well-drawn figure of the Heart to her :) I am proud of it! I drew it last year when I was studying with Desiree, and I really cant believe how efficient I was in making notes for myself. Muhahahahahaha

Anyway, watched Spiderman with ARG + yuyan + zhirong today. We went to Pasta Mania for lunch, and yeah it was really feeling at that. The lunch set is really huasuan! Hahahahah thanks to Shiqi for pointing it out :) Zzzz but the spaghetti bolognese got really sian after that.

Spiderman was really not bad. It lasted around 2.5hrs, with some parts getting really draggy at that, but nevertheless, it was still entertaining. That Peter has a typical boy-next-door kind of look, and he has a nice smile :) But he looks like this Greenday guy when he becomes the dark Spiderman, with his hair let down and all. Hahaha he gave me the impression of Zorro as well. Harry looks like a typical bad guy, but he's good-looking in certain angles. He has sort of a cheeky smile too :P

The show, as quoted from Kristy, has the right amount of action, comedy and romance :) There were a number of touching parts too. The scene in which Aunt May came to visit Peter after his stunt in the pub left an impression on me. Hahaha watch the movie to find out what she said.

i think zhirong was a bit sad during the beginning of the movie but at least there was yuyan to accompany him

That was about it. We roamed around Cine for a while after that, but we left soon since there were lots of things people had to do. Nicole Joannah and Zhirong had math test tmr, and Desiree and I havent done our chinese compo. Its titled, 思念 and Julie complained it was too abstract. Its quite okay lah, just that I spent toooo muchhhh time on it I feel > <

Yup, thats about it. I don't like the keyboards of this computer so I shant blog much :X

Archery Invitational SEAAF at Zhenghua

Oh pooh I'm feeling quite lazy now really. Nevertheless, its been a long and fulfilling day.

i cant wait for the new downtown (??) line to be built. saves a lot of hassle: changing from east-west to north-south, then to LRT. but i dont stay at that part of singapore at all :/ oh nvm, its more convenient for the near future.

i didnt knw that cck mrt was linked to the lrt via a STAIRCASE (hidden in some secluded part or maybe im just not observant enough but who cares) so i wasted 45c on mrt fare -_- its not so bad, but it forced me to top up my card which has -10c left, sooooo i reached around 3mins late than the actual timing. how wonderful! and the lrt that i wanted to board left right before my eyessss

thankfully, the lrt came soon so i stopped pacing around the lrt station. as i boarded the lrt i saw this tooty man who was sitting opposite me. he had funny 50s specs and... just looks really toot lah. thenn i saw: wow, he has a huge red bag, and he has a matching red shirt to go with it, and oh wow look there's his badge, and it says:

SEAAF - - - - - - -

OH WOW HE'S A JUDGE

nvm,at least i didnt like, laugh in his face or something. bt ohwell, i was on the verge of sleeping on the lrt, but it being my first lone experience, my nervousness mounted eventually. i was looking at the stops and wondering why they travelled so slowly, and i heard some S- something stop, and immediately jumped out of my seat to head for the exit. (meanwhile,i was wondering why that tooty judge was staring at me)

ohh and i saw: SENJA

yeah and i finally understand how nervousness and paranoia can confuse yourself so much that you start rationalising your thoughts in a way that matches whatever you want it to be.

JUST THAT AT THAT MOMENT OF TIME, I SNAPPED OUT OF CONFUSION AND REALISED THAT THE CORRECT PLACE IS

SEGAR
SEGAR
NOOOOOOOT SENJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....

dumb lrt lines, all the stupid S-s. and at least make them sound distinctly different lah, not like, sedja-segar; must be like, novena-newton. AT LEAST THAT IS DIFFERENT. (come to think of it, yiochukang and choachukang sound the same too, but THEY'RE MILES APART SO ITS EASY TO DISTINCT THEM) but this incident reminds me of the united and novena square thing again, so bahhhhhhhhhh.

(no wonder the judge was staring)

nevertheless, the above rant wasnt the crux. THIS IS!

Qualifying round
Board 15, 3 archers: malaysian, singaporean, indonesian. Most tedious, with 60m, 50m, 40m.

The Singaporean was (of course) from the National Team and I heard he's from RJ. Can tell, from his shots, and from the look of that bow o.O and from the look of that face -_- SMUG. he didnt offend me or anything, but his face always has this kind of semi-worried-buaysong look. i know his name is Marcus, and he has fancy aqua shoes. OHYAH AND HE WALKS SO FAST. i had to practically STRIDE to catch up with him. Sam was laughing, when she herself had difficulty too! it was hilarious to see people striding in mud.

The Indonesian looked pretty young. He was from a college of some sort, and his name is Awar ?? I'm nt sure. He shoots well! But I don't like this coach because he keeps like, tagging along =/ I feel kinda bad for wrongly calculating his score though: 10 points! muahahaha. and his voice is, i think, higher than mine o.O not that mine was very high to begin with. OH! and he got into bronze finals! :D

The Malaysian was okay. I remember his blue shirt and his polite voice. and mmm.. thats all. hes pretty close to Awar. LOL. and The malaysian's name is Omar. (okay now im starting to think that i made a mistake of the indonesians name...)

Marcus and Awar were pretty good. They had a tough fight in the 40m category, by shooting the same score for 2ends. Even the individual score was the same too! Then Awar fell back by 2, and came back again by the 4th end. It ended with Marcus winning though, because Awar had three bad last shots: 8,8,8. marcus got: 9,9,9.

Elimination
Two female National Team shooters. One called Hwee Jun and the other I forgot... ): It was less stressed in this round, and Hweejun won though.

1/8th, 1/4th
Started with Elijah and Abdul! I heard that Elijah was a pretty good shooter: he got first for standard male - - ! He's Filipino, and hes only 11 too, so i reckon hes the youngest archer to be able to pull a 36pound bow.

Sadly, he lost the round to Abdul. It was a terrible start for him because due to some lack of power he missed two arrows!! They fell to the ground in front of the board =/ And yeah, because of that he lost to Abdul by 14points, but he managed to make a comeback at the 3rd and 4th end, by reducing the difference to 6points. Impressive. And his last score of 48 clearly surpassed Abdul's 39 and 40.

Then came Abdul with Pataar (indonesia). It was clear who won, since previously Pataar had a score of 103? And Abdul had 79 LOL. Pataar beat Abdul: 103-89? I think. not sure.

Gold finals
Pataar VS nicholas (singapore national team)

Tough fight. VERY TOUGH FIGHT. Pataar was leading first by 4points: 52-48.
I was walking back from scoring, and was staring at the ground to make sure i didnt step on any other soft mud. but it was morelike i wanted to avoid the eyecontact of the indonesians and the singaporean teams. But conversely, the singaporean team came to find me instead!! They were a bunch of competitive people man. i think they were starting to freak out when they realised they were losing by 4, thats why they started all the NICE SHOTS! WOOOTTTT WOOOTTT thing. -__-

Yea lah, Sinma and Alvin told me that these was normal in such events, but its really annoying lor. As in, its okay if you want to encourage your archer, but not like that what! There was a hypothesis that perhaps the people are so experienced that they can judge the quality of your shots by looking at your follow-through blalala. But this time, their screamings were literally blasted 1millisecond after the archer shot the arrow! -______- a little unrealistic.

anyway,
there was a tie between the both of them. lol, pataar seemed to be laughing crazily to himself. i dontknw why they were so happy over a tie though. maybe they were merely faking it. they had to resolve it with a single shot shootout lor. scary man.

and YES THAT ANNOYING THING HAPPENED AGAIN.
cos you see, nicholas shot faster, and by the time he finished shooting, there was this wholeeeee large AMPLIFIED version of NICESHOTS and WOOTING. Poor Pataar was still left to shoot!

and yeah, due to some stroke of luck, Nicholas managed to just cut the 9ring, and Pataar was in the 8 ring. Therefore, Nicholas won! But it was kinda sad for Pataar though since he really put up a good fight. his mental is seriously admirable.

And that basically sums up the shoot. there were a whole lot of little funny stuff that happened in between, but this post is getting kinda long so yeah. o.O oh and there were lots of mud and sun and im now a roasted lobster. and kudos to others helping out for tmr.

Ohno I skipped tuition today again :X I feel kinda bad for skipping so many sessions, but well its only two :/ blahblahblah, but there's no one to accompany me! Ona's not going for tuition because of midyears! Oh nooooooooooooooooo...

and to denise: I MAY NOT BE GOING FOR JIANG TOMORROW TOO SO BEWARNED

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I can't leave her an offline msg because tis msn 7.5. Sad! Maybe I'll drop her an sms. Zzz... and maybe I'll join junya or mingquan for their chinese lesson. and be intimidated by their proness >_<

Anyway...
there was morning training today. alignment is the topic of training too! other than that, it was all about nicole wearing her shoes the wrong side when she was suiting up. LOL. I thought it was only kcc who would commit such a dumb mistake. but oh well, thats nicole for you :)

Class was um, um, i can't remember.

but there was math test today in the library, because we cant make it for the test tmr due to archery invitational!! Bleh, I was feeling a little uptight before the test, and matters became worse when I realised that I forgot to get my GC back from wanyun -_- Had to run back to class to get it, and I think i was late for around 2mins, but ah well. Moochmoochmooch.

Goodluck to all for the mathtest tmr! :D

ohh and we made our way to segar after that. We thought that we'll be late but OF COURSE WE WERENT :D despite shiqi dropping us at the wrong stop so we had to walk a little distance to the lrt station >:D I cant rmb the lrt names, they all sound so foreign. and malay. :/

the lrt is such a complex transport system. maybe cos im swaku lah i have never taken an lrt ever in my 16years of life HAHAHAHA. But well, there are three? routes for the lrt to travel. :S why cant it be like the normal mrt tracks, where it just moves east and west?? nvm, i havent properly analysed the route. and OH WOW the windows can auto-blur themselves when they travel pass the hdb flats! Heard that it was for privacy purposes... but it was kinda cool, the way the auto-blur comes up o.O HAHA! and the lrt is fashioned like the airport express from T1-T2! theres this empty space for us to sit and look out. singhui, desiree, shiqi, zhirong and i were sitting there on the way back... hahaha they were commenting on how it looked like a free rollercoaster ride.

The briefing for the archery scoring was kinda um, okay. felt like sleeping cos the man was standing against the sun, and it was glaring and inducing some sort of sleep effect zzz. it was a serious procedure, till whenever there was a mistake in writing scores, we had to get it checked before we could change it >< something about asking the judges or the archers lah... just hope that there wont be any mistakes tmr :X

a group of us went to lot 1 for dinner after that, namely: desiree, singhui, zhirong, seekai and i. we went to longjohns for dinner and lalalalalalalalla we proceeded on to discuss random stuff like IP.. primary schools.. and um, THE HUMAN ANATOMY.. it was um, entertaining. and informative, in an um, um, positive manner. :)

now ive got to reach segar at 7.30am LATEST. LATESTTTT WHYYYYY. rarh, im afraid i would oversleep, but i think not. maybe i'll wake up at um, 5+??? zzzzzzzz...
