Yay, ASS week is finally over! No more studying and fretting over understanding concepts, which are gonna be tested the day after OR THE DAY ITSELF.

But actually this studying really hones stamina and determination for the future. But I sound like a freaky nerd, so I shan't elaborate.

After the stinkin' THREE papers yesterday, Math and Physics, whereas everyone else only had ONE, Physics, I went back to DHS! I was supposed to meet Zuxin at NUS High, but she was watching her stinkin' Pirates of the Caribbean so I couldn't even get the connection to her. -__-

Anyway, returning to DHS was fun! I didn't know that DHS was situated right smack in the middle of those private estates. It was kinda weird, but some of the houses there are really nice. Sadly, we returned to DHS at around 3+ too, so most of the people left... The campus was really quite old, so I'm looking forward to seeing the newer campus :)

OHyes, and there were some people whom I thought I wouldn't see too!

JOCELYN (NO I EXPECTED HER TO BE THERE ^__^)
Shunying, Yuntong, Dorothy
LYON, HAHA SO CUTE
SELINA! (lol, she was doing some guides stuff so don't touch her...)
YUNJING! (she looks different. I think she changed her specs)
YIWEI!!!! (HAHAHAHA SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS WAVING LIKE A MAD PERSON, BUT I DIDNT SEE HER COS SHE WAS TOO SHORT!)
Valerie! Really wasn't expecting to see her.
Yanwen?

and more and more and more

i saw mingquan at tuition that day. he has nice specs, but he still has that short temper of his -_-

DENISE, GET WELL SOON!

Now, I really shouldn't be here

excerpt from a book

" The woman took the newchild and left through the door she had entered.

Jonas watched as his father bent over the squirming newchild on the bed. "And you, little guy, you're only five pounds ten ounces. A shrimp!"

"That's the special voice he uses with Gabriel," Jonas remarked, smiling.
"Watch," The Giver said.
"Now he cleans him and makes him comfy," Jonas told him. "He told me."
"Be quiet Jonas," The Giver commanded in a strange voice. "Watch."

Obediently Jonas concentrated on the screen, waiting for what would happen next. He was especially curious about the ceremony part.
His father turned and opened the cupboard. He took out a syringe and a small bottle. Very carefully he inserted the needle into the bottle and began the fill the syringe with a clear liquid.
Jonas winced sympathetically. He had forgotten that newchildren had to get shots. He hated shots himself, though he knew that they were necessary.

To his surprise, his father began very carefully to direct the needle into the top of the newchild's forehead., puncturing the place where the fragile skin pulsed. The newborn squirmed, and wailed faintly.

"Why's he - "
"Shhh," The Giver said sharply.

His father was talking, and Jonas realized that he was hearing the answer to the question he had started to ask. Still in the special voice, his father was saying. "I know, I know. It hurts, little guy. But I have to use a vein, and the veins in your arms are still teeny-weeny."

He pushed the plunger very slowly., injecting the liquid into the scalp vein until the syringe was empty.
"All done. That wasn't so bad, was it?" Jonas heared his father say cheerfully. He turned aside and dropped the syringe into the waste receptable.

Now he cleans him up and makes him comfy, Jonas said to himself, aware that The Giver didn't want to talk during the little ceremony.

As he continued to watch, the newchild, no longer crying, moved his arms and legs in a jerking motion. Then he went limp. His head fell to the side, his eyes half-open. Then he was still.

With as odd shocked feeling, Jonas recognised the gestures and posture and expression. They were familiar. He had seen them before. But he couldn't remember where.
Jonas stared at the screen, waiting for something to happen. But nothing did. The little twin lay motionless. Heis father was putting things away. Folding the blanket. Closing the cupboard.

He killed it! My father killed it! Jonas said to himself, stunned at what he was realizing. He continued to stare at the screen numbly.

His father tidied the room. Then he picked up a small carton that lay waiting on the floor, set it on the bed, and lifted the limp body into it. He placed the lid on tightly.
He picked up the carton and carried it to the other side of the room. He opened the small door in the wall; Jonas could see darkness behind the door. It seemed to be the same sort of chute into which trash was deposited at school.

His father loaded the carton containing the body into the chute and gave it a shove.

"Bye-bye, little guy," Jonas heard his father say before he left the room. Then the screen went blank.

I read Desiree's blog and realised she had a cool dream about dragons. Red dragons, Blue dragons and Dragon doom HAH. Her narration of it reminded me of Tsubasa though, with wings and all.

I had a dream today too, but it was kinda lame. It's theme was of Disney, since I vaguely remember seeing Snow White and her Seven Dwarves LOL. I was a perfectly normal human being, and not a beast of some sort. My sisters were in the story too. I think there was this other friend in the story as well, and strangely, we bickered quite a lot in that dream, contrary to what it was in reality. Rather a disappointment that it was a dream though since it felt like we were quite close friends, in the dream.

I dreamt that my car was changed to some... jeep? Maybe that's an overstatement, but it was something like that.

Nothing much left. I think I will go about my own business.

... I can't explain what you can't explain

Kristy says I haven't blogged, so here's some nonsense.

NONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSE
NONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSE
NONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSENONSENSE

anyway, I have absolutely nothing to blog about unless you want to be bombarded with comments on how INTERESTING mugging can get, and how much HAIRR you lose when you mug. That's only if you adopt a hair-pulling habit like Minlu. Oh, and she is back from London! Oh, and she left her BIOMES notes there. Roflmao, what a souvenir.

I heard from a friend that if you left your tortoises in the water for too long, their shell will rot! Is that true? So one day I decided to bring them to the toilet to brush their shells since it looked um, mossy. I was looking for something suitable to brush their shells with, so I took a spare toothbrush that was small and blue, and decided to brush them. They kept struggling and there wasn't any evident progress, so I stopped after a while. A few days later, Xiulun came along and asked something about .... losing her toothbrush....

OOPS.

I mugged in the library with Huiwei, Kaiting and her friend Jinghuai at Bishan Library on Friday. It wasn't so bad, at least i covered some themes for LA. Jinghuai was quite a nice person, and she taught Denise math too! When Denise so crazilyyy called me to ask whether I know how to solve an INTEGRATION Math question when I obviously haven't learnt Integration yet. -_- Jinghuai seems a bit like Cynthia too, spouting Chinese words like 100words/minute o.o Shockingly, we spotted someone who we didn't think would be there too. Ooo, coincidence.

Thanks Qianling for offering to teach me math in the range today, although it seemed like it ended up with her being a little demoralised over her FURTHER MATH status. LOL. Nvermind... I think there's some problem with the answer sheet. I went to tuition after that, and I spotted someone whom I didn't think would be there too! After 2 years of not meeting, it was really a shock. Ooo, another coincidence. Denise would be happier to have that coincidence though ^_^

The end.

Willy Wonka!

I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today. It was an amazing show. Although it was childish and unrealistic, at least it was interesting and showed a wonderful dictation of dreams. However, I disliked the part on Oompa Loompas, because they looked ugly and lame.

Ahh, I think my tortoises finally have pellets to eat. Certainly exciting to see them gobble up the floating pellets, and its especially queer to see how blind they are to even knock against the tank in an attempt of filling their tummies.

Fat...

I overslept on the bus today :D New record! One stop behind KAP, and I landed at some glass condominiums. Bukit Timah Road looks really peaceful in the morning though. I'd like to have a little walk around the neighbourhood if I didn't have to attend training. Coincidentally, my good friend Zhang was late as well. :D

Chem make-up was "fun". We spent the first 40minutes crapping amongst ourselves, the usual people - Minlu (in london lol), and Ama and Charlyn. Charlyn cut her hair! She looks like a chinadoll ^_^ Hahaha, and Ms Yeo apparantly appeared 40mins after 9, and yes we had a somewhat proper chemistry lesson...

Went for lunch at cosy corner and I must comment on how expensive, but well its good, the popiah is there. $2!!!!!

Hard-core studied at Bishan Library afterward. I managed to finish Chemistry... Finally. And I hope I can complete my Geog by today too. Haix, life is tough.

Nevertheless, the study period was fun. Kristy and I enjoy suaning Huiwei. She is a very troublesome and haolian girl. She borrowed my eraser and even has the cheek to say that it is LOUSY. And she says that Anything tastes like Toiletbowl Water. And she keeps haolianing the fact that she finished her geog!!!

And Kristy is nice because she lent me her jacket when icicles were starting to form on my lips. Also, she listens to cool songs.

Tortoises and Arrows

My tortoises are getting larger and larger day by day. I still remember how small they were when I first bought them, and now they're even bigger than my palm. The small orange streak by their necks used to be insignificant, and now they're practically a symbol of their status.

And why am I speaking so weirdly? Hmm.

They eat pellets like two hungry ghosts. Perhaps it's because thats the only thing I've ever fed them, ha ha. I've never fed them meat, because according to the fish shop uncle, feeding them meat would just make them fierce and bloodthirsty. Currently, they've even attempted to bite my finger! I can't imagine what would happen to their nature if I fed them with meat.

Sadly, they've just finished the last bit of their pellets today. I'm too lazy to go out and buy another tin.

Oh, and there was NUS indoor archery invitational today. Zzz, by the time Jeremy and I got there, the whole event was already over -_- Desiree was supposed to turn up! But, she overslept -_____- and yes, Jeremy DID oversleep too. He said he wanted to leave at 1015 but ended up waking up at 1015 instead, when my call woke him up. Haix, and I thought I was the one prone to be late all the time.

Congratulations to Monica who got individual third!

Aww geez, as holidays are drawing to an end, so is the impending doom. Again, I am not blogging as much as I used to be.

Life's been pretty monotonous these days. It's either training, slacking at home, training, random outings with random friends, training, random concerts with DHS, and more training!

My life has truly been dedicated to shooting. And studying is not consistent enough as well. Mehhhh, GET DOWN TO WORK!

Oh, today was my grandparent's death anniversary! One thing I've learnt, is that incense paper does not burn well at all. It produces thick, yellow (or maybe gold), smoke. Global Warming!

I think I will go check whether the latest Deathnote Anime is out.

lol the training camp

meh, of course there has to be a blogpost on the training camp. Not that anything fascinating did happen, basically it was just training and training. Loads of physical and mental training as well.

Training was quite tedious... but I guess Rifle Girls B div didnt have as long training slots as compared to the other divisions. Maybe cos we're too small... hahaha but i think the other divisions trained really hard, esp the pistol and rifle boys, who grab any possible chance to train possible. So hardworking >_<

Food was really well-catered, although sometimes the food didnt taste good. Still finished it though. I especially liked the food from Golden Rooster, whereas the Adam Food Centre one wasn't as nice. Hahaha, Adam Food Centre serves damn horrible teh man, there's not even milk inside to begin with, and we call it teh. -___-

Watched two movies, lol some football movie which I forgot the name. This one was supposed to be inspirational, but it proved to be more religious than inspirational =/ everything about christianity this christianity that ~_~ I'm thinking what will daxiang say if he watches that. And we watched 300 too! Lol, it was supposedly um, r21 but OH WELL who cares. It wasn't as bad as I thought. There were sex and violence. The sex was nothing lah, and the violence looked pretty cheesy to me in some scenes. Lol, head being chopped off! But other scenees were kinda cool though ^_^ I think there was an overdose of CG in the movie too.

"Sparta!!!!"

Yes that was all that I remember. Most of my free time was spent on sleeping, listening to ipod, and crapping? A little. And a little mugging lah. at least i finished my chinese storybook lol.

Ohh, and shiqi's seaweed and nuts saved desiree's and my stomachs for many times. (:

Totally roast

Went to Jurong Swimming Complex with Huiwei and Kristy today. Lol, it was kind of a last minute thing, since everything was decided at around 12+am?? And most importantly, I wasn't late for the meeting! Although I did wake up late, but that doesn't matter.

Sadly, Jurong Swimming Complex looks more like a dump now... Lots of rides are closed down, so we're just basically left with the lazy river, the wave pool and the slides. Not including the standard jacuzzi and competition pool of course. Kristy and Huiwei bought the floats but nah I didn't, since I was seriously tight on cash >___<

There were lots of malays there as well. Its queer how Malays get together so well, in groups. LARGE groups at that. Sometimes they get a little too rowdy and noisy when they're together... I'm not complaining too much.

The wave pool was fun! And we were all suntanning by the shore, since well, we're a bunch of lazy bums. Today was actually quite hot, but strangely, I didn't really feel the heat. I only felt the heat when I was so TOTALLY SUNBURNT, like some roasted lobster or something. I HAVE A WHITE HOLE ON MY BACK!!!

Slides were more fun, especially the yellow one, which got my brain all malfunctioning and everything since I took in a little waer through my nose >_< There was a queer incident, in which this lifeguard came up to me when I was waiting for Huiwei and Kristy to be done with their slides since I didn't have a float. He told me that I had the body of a weightlifter (?????) That was the main gist of the converstation, and I DID NOT enjoy it.

Hahaha, that's all. Was a little tired out soon. Kristy and Huiwei were enjoying the jacuzzi like some taitais, while I was feeling really uncomfortable cos of that stupid strong pressure. There were a bunch of guys who, sadly, managed to chase us away from our jacuzzi spot. -_- Strength comes in numbers, literally.

Oh, woe is me

Oh woe is me.

No this is not an emo post.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
NOBODY'S GOING TO BE AT HOME FOR THE NEXT 4 (?) DAYS
BECAUSE MY SISTERS AND MY MOTHER ARE GONE,

IN HONGKONG

and worse still,
I CANT GO COS OF STINKIN' TRAINING CAMP!!

I sound like a kid, nevermind.

No, the worse thing is yet to come. Not only do I not have company at home for 4 days,

I'LL HAVE TO DO HOUSEWORK
COS MY MAID IS STUCK IN PHILIPPINES BUILDING HER DUMB HOUSE

meh.

I sound like a spoilt brat, but with my mom gone and with only my father and uncle (who sometimes just slacks around, but not my pop, he's in charge of ironing the clothes, and my uncle who practically just SLACKS) But yeah well, I guess we'll just eat out everyday... I'm in charge of washing the clothes and it's quite fun, in a weird sort of manner.

Goodluck to both of them, cos I'll be stuck at camp from monday to wednesday. I think the rest of the family would be back by the time my camp is done. Oh hurray, at least that's something to look forward to.

Not blogging as much as I'd like to. Kind of a letdown to myself, not that blogging is a sure-to-do duty or something. Ahhh.

My whole life is being taken over by shooting, and I have clear forgotten why I am working so hard for. Actually, I'm not even sure myself if I have worked hard or not, since the results prove otherwise... It's either that or I'm simply too pessimistic. And unsatisified.

I need quality, not quantity.

Trying to attempt on some hwk now, but it seems futile. Zzz, do I sound emo? Perhaps I do. Or maybe its just me writing some nonsense.

Bahh, well. There's nothing much to blog around here. Oh, I went shopping with Kristy again today at Orchard. It was fun trying out clothes and stuff :)

Streetfest 2007!

Oh wow, it's my first time being to a streetfest! Thanks to Haru aka Jane who invited me :) I took the liberty to wake up at 9 because I thought we would meet at 11! It was 1 instead -.- And I kept getting her door number wrong ><

Oh well, at least I made it to her house. It's quite near mine. Her house is at the 30th floor, for goodness sake O.o Hahaha its really windy and all, and her house, is just so, HER. It's like her previous house, just that it's much bigger. She brought me to her study room, and it's really impressive, with the gadgets and all. REALLY Large screen monitor, some IT drawing pad thingy, PS2, Gamecube, and artwork scattered everywhere. Lol, that's Haru for youu...

that pad thingy? It's for drawing on computer. IMPRESSIVE.

her brother's side of the room

THE BEST THING ABOUT THE ROOM

Hahaha, I took some pictures of the room cos it was really too cool. Proceeded on to Orchard after that, after she managed to get her gear ready: Makeup, Costume and all.

We headed off to LongJohn's for my lunch, and to meet their friends. Zeph and BA came first but went off for their costumes. Then came along Delight! Who was, as Haru quoted, Delightful! Lol, she's the most enthusiastic person I've ever seen. I think I'll get tired out pretty fast if I was like her. And it's no wonder Haru's a bit crazed up now and then.

Haru's character had a bell on her neck, and she looked like a cow with that on. Therefore, we decided to add a pink ribbon to make her more, cow-like.

nah, she doesn't look like one, looks more like a cat

Anyway, we were joined by Haru's two other friends: Lyana and Cassandra, but they left earlier after that, for Prom Shopping. I wonder why everyone is so kiasu all of a sudden. But anyway, BA and Zeph came soon after that, followed by Haru and Delight, and O.o they look not bad.

BA, Zeph, and Haru making a face. Madarame in the foreground

Lots of music was blasting into Long John's, like D-Techno life. They kept on replaying it and replaying it, and the sliding doors kept on opening and closing, so it's like we're listening to NOISE! silence, then NOISEEEE! and more silence. Okay that was random.

The funniest thing that we heard from one of the commentators, was from the Team Singapore Archery booth. Yea, they were there for some apparant reason, and they were like: WANNA WATCH A SHINIGAMI SHOOT ARROWS??

Anyway, we made it to ScapePark soon after, and woah the four of them had a helluva time getting their pictures taken. They were dressing up Subarashiki, which is this game but I think you play it on this new game console that I don't know what. Thanks to haru who gave me the name last minute. So yeah well here goes. Delight's primary school friend, Xiuwen came later. Lol it was such a coincidental that she's Xiu as well!

TOTAL COOLNESS

There were many other cosplayers too, like Bleach, Naruto, D-Grayman?, KOF, Loki etcetc

AIZEN!

Madarame and Aizen

Ichigo VS Aizen! LOL, Ichigo's 菜刀

Abarai Renji

Madarame, Renji, Aizen

AIZEN STOLE ZABIMARU!

end of bleach madness... now more of the other characters

Zeph and this character from AirGear

Athena from KOF and ...

Sasuke!

SHINIGAMI LOL

Hahaha, that was about it. There were lots of other people that I wanted pictures of, but perhaps due to my lack of confidence or just shyness (.......), I didnt. ): Zzz, such a waste. Zeph and BA got into a little trouble with these yaoi fans, but nothing too much. This is what they get for being too shuai XD

Ha ha ha

Hmm. I guess the holidays are really a bore. I've been mooching around like a sea slug doing absolutely nothing. I think I spent 80% of my day sleeping... and maybe because my body clock is totally wrong: being hyper-active in the night and dying the day. I'm nocturnal.

How come I see red lines under certain words that I type. It's either Blogger has upgraded, or because I'm using Firefox. Oh well, that doesn't matter.

It's sad that I can't follow my family to Hong Kong from 9th-12th June ): The dates clash with training camp, and again, its sad that training camp is held in school instead of NTU camp ): I think I wrote this before but oh well, I'm too lazy to go check my previous posts so I'll just leave it.

Hmm. I seem to have developed an addiction to soundtracks! Especially the Pirates of the Caribbean! It's quite inspiring some of them, but how come I don't see myself doing homework? I don't know. Yay, I've downloaded some of the tracks too :) Listen to one!

And I've grown to like Brokeback Mountain too! Oh no, I must be going mad. How come I suddenly grew to like it? Perhaps I was once bored on Youtube one day, and decided to go look around for some nice movies, aka Brokeback Mountain. I've seen a few... and um, yea some of them were rather gay and all, but other that that, it's kinda touching.

ha ha ha

Wait, but there are more gay parts than touching parts... which is kinda sad...

There's this shooting game that was introduced to me. It's kinda fun, but sadly I keep dying zzz..

not exactly glamorous

Friday, June 01, 2007

Gosh its been such a long time since I've last updated. The laziness is starting to settle. I haven't finished my hwk, and about a quarter of the holiday has passed! There are exams to prepare ):

I've been going out a lot these few days, it's tiring. I prefer to spend some time at home with my sisters though, at least I won't be spending that much money outside. From a hundred to ten! My parents will slaugher me. I bet they expect me to handle my money properly.

Anyway, I went out with Denise to get her prom dress on Thursday. I decided to meet at her house earlier in the day (actually more like noon lol). We made our way to Orchard and went to Tangs, where we started our first formal fitting.

Daniel Yam's designs are not bad, but I feel that some of them are too formal. Not my taste since I prefer comfortable and laidback, to formal and elegant. The material used are really smooth and fitting though (: Denise looked pretty good in one of the designs she picked, but she didn't like it =/ I realise Daniel Yam loves making tubes.

Anyway, we went off earlier after that. There wasn't anything that caught our eye. I wasn't exactly those people who has the eye for fashion anyway. Had to buy this S&K pants for xiuxian which cost $34.80! I think, after 40% discount. Heheh, Denise was pissed with me cos we had to walk all the way back from S&K and to the busstop.

Well that was about it. Her family treated me to dinner, and thanks.

Oh and went to CDANS to support A div ARG for CJCIS. Bernice shot really well! 377! Hahaha but that's all I know. Joannah, Desiree and I got there late because we didn't know what time it officially started. But yeah well, it was raining pretty heavily when we were on the way home. Took a few pictures. Maybe its the busstop's drainage that isn't working properly.

nice

oh well. its kinda odd how the human mind works. we tend to remember the bad things that people do instead of the good. Perhaps the good things may outnumber the bad, but I guess its just human nature to have a deeper impression of the bad, instead of the good. That's how cloudy the mind is.
