Chinese O Levels

YAY, IT'S OVER! Chinese O levels are finally over, well this one single major exam. Prepared more than enough for it, better than lesser, so yes I've already done my best ^_^

(even if I haven't, there's nothing I can do about it -.-)

I nearly didn't wake up today until my sister woke me up. Turns out that I forgot to make my alarm > < But wheeeeeeee, at least I have cool sisters (: My father brought me straight to NJC too so yay, I have a cool father (: hahahaha, I got there pretty early though. Lynna and Qingyun were there before me. And well, I really felt like sleeping then too -.-

Okay, so we were there, at the examination ground, and I was feeling darn sleepy. But thankfully I managed to get myself back together during the exam when I started writing at some god-like speed LOL. Like some printer or something. Yeah, but I did 公函 instead of 演讲稿。 I was more familiar with that yeah, so might as well do it (: I did 报章报道 for 作文 too, since well I studied more for it.

There was Paper 2 after that and I felt so totally drained man, like really very tired. But at least I managed to complete the paper and write whatever I felt was correct! Thankfully the paper was more of 复述题 instead of those 感想 ones, so its not so bad. Kinda brainless answering. lalala.

In the end I'm not keeping my hopes high, lest I fall badly. What matters is the process, what matters is the process, what matters is the process!

Didn't go out after the papers, what a no-lifer. Cleaned up the range with Desiree and Shujen, and played a little pool with an ahem, not-too-friendly pool table -.- It refused to receive any of the balls that I hit! Or maybe I was too strong LOL. Anyway, I went home instead, and slept from 4-7. It was wonderful ahhh. I should start sleeping early.

(and I wonder when I will ever do that.)

Lit Seminar

Desiree, Kristy, Amalina and I went for a Literature Seminar on Saturday at RGSS. It was raining when I got there, so thankfully I came in my father's car so it wasn't so bad. There was a slight jam outside RGSS too, but nothing to it.

It was a pleasant surprise when I saw other schools that attended the Lit Seminar too, like DHS! I saw Jocelyn and Xiaoyou ^_^ I really didn't expect them to be there! Haha, and there was Mdm Nora as well, and Wynne (?), lol all the funny people. Wynne and Tiffany and this other HC guy were up on stage presenting, and Wynne was there making funny hand gestures lol, so it was really amusing.

The first half of the Seminar was mostly TALKS, and despite efforts from the presenters to make their talks as interesting as possible (did they even try? maybe not.), it didn't stop me from falling asleep. Oh sheesh, my eyelids were half-closed throughout some of the talks, but there were some interesting bits that I got too, when I forced myself to open my eyes and pay attention. Desiree, Amalina and I signed up for a creative writing workshop, and hmmmm, my comment is the same as the former one. I'd prefer it if the presenter could at least, attempt to interact with the audience, instead of rattling on and on by himself. Maybe he did interact, ok then it wasn't working for me.

Teabreak was brilliant, proper food at least, with pizza and carrot cake! Lunch was okay, just packed food, but we had a fun time listening to Sneha, Bandana and Kristy talk about their friends' brushings pass idols. LOL, it was hilarious.

Oh! and this segment of the Lit Seminar that I absolutely loved! We watched a series of dramas presented by RI, HCI and Nanyang and some of them were not bad at all! The actor who played Portia in the first drama on the Parody of the Merchant of Venice was not bad at all! He looks like an indian scholar for some reason, even speaks like one as well. I liked the third Drama best, Soufflé :D:D It was something to do with foreign talents coming into Singapore, and the sophisticated front that you have to play in order to be recognised. The actor with the french accent was brilliant! There was also the last drama, lolll with their gayness and all, but their acting was not bad hahaha (:

Yes, and that was about it. It ended off with a big bang, so we four decided to go to Taka to get some stuff to eat before going home. What a tiring day that was, yes it was.

Last Day of School

Well, today's the last day of school. And also the last day of my tuitionS. All of them. Happy and sad, but well, all good things come to an end.

We were clearing the classroom today, and yeah our classroom held more memories than expected. I'm not that depressed over it now, but I guess I'll feel the pain when I'm in IP3, with no classes to go back to, and having to roam and migrate around the school like a refuge. TC34 is like a second home to me, the place where I really feel safe in the whole of NJ. Besides the range. And yeah, there's a whole lot of stuff that we have done in that bright, colourful classroom of ours.

Laming around, playing 02jam, laughing at the boys' weird gestures and reactions, watching movies on daniel's computer, looking at the wanyun clan playing daidi and bridge and screaming their heads off, looking at lynna's table and sniggering at their teasings, looking at huiwei's table and making funny faces at them. It's all gone, all gone, all gone.

Of course, this doesn't mean that it's the end of 04! Since well, we'll still under the same building -.- But yeah, there won't be ohfour spirit anymore. It'll be kinda disappointing if our class simply became hi-bye friends after so long. It's not worth it!

Yes, Kristy, Ama, Kaiting and I went to take neoprints after school x)

Yeah, and I stole some pictures from Kristy's blog. This is my favourite (:

Was taken to welcome Zuiqiu when he was hospitalized. It gives a warm fuzzy feeling when you look at it. (:

my my, how we've grown.

We came as strangers, and left as friends
0hfour, together till the end.

New blogskin! Browsing though the internet and found this, and well my sister said it looks nice so why not give it a try.

I took a taxi down to Jiang Tuition today, from Novena. There was this massive jam so I was desperately trying to get at taxi in case I was late. Oops, and I mistaked some occupied taxis for occupied too so -__- utter fool of myself. Anyway, I managed to get there in time, thanks to the brilliant taxi driver who is a pro at snaking in and out of jams. Yeah, audacity brings power.

Unfortunately, praise gives way to complacency. So well being the very, very nice person that I am i praised him, and... he nearly rammed into this blue MPV right in front. SMART. It was such a dire situation that he had to resort to engine break. That means turning off the engine completely. LOLL.

Conclusion: Singaporeans cannot be praised.

I wasn't late though, thankfully. I wonder if I'd be late if I took the MRT. Nevermind, I'd rather be released from the pain of knowing that I'd spent $6.70 ( ? ) on taxi fare. +$2 for peak hour extra charge. YAY

Then again

Then again, exams are over but of course we still have our Higher Chinese O levels to attend to. How enjoyable, 报章报道,议论文,公函,私函~ 今日特投此函~ rant rant jargon.

There's intensive Chinese in school for this week, and next week too. H.Chinese O levels are on 31st October. AO Chinese is on 29th, while Normal Chinese is on 30th. That leaves us to the last! But its a wonder how all my other friends have exams around the same date. A levels are coming too so lets just all work hard together.

We've been doing lots of Chinese test papers this week. It's good practise really, but I get hungry easily while doing the paper. I hope that doesn't occur during my O levels > < And again there's 讲堂课 right after that, going through test papers and all. Zzzzzzz, it gets boring and monotonous after a while because its always the same old thing.... Hahhaa the only time I look forward to during school is LUNCHH. I've been eating a lot lately, hur just one day I spent $7+ on food only. Is that a lot? Maybe not.

Sheesh, and there's IBN Elective presentation this Thursday! ANNOYING. We're doing on microemulsions and its reactions. Unfortunately for us, we find NOTHING in NLB and even NUS library (not like we can enter it). Sighhh, what's worse is that this presentation is included in our final grade. Oh what joy.

Oh and DHS came to NJC on Tuesday when I had my IBN Elective haha. Mingquan called to inform me and I was so shocked lol I nearly screamed the whole lab down. Yeah but I rushed to meet the DHS people and saw Yuntong, Simin, Grace and Jiahui too. They were here for the Art Exhibition, and for once I really think that NJ's Art is GOOD! I like their artworks, its so professional and reminds me of Biennale. And it's not merely oil painting, there's media art as well. Impressive for a school though hahaha. Or maybe I haven't seen other schools.

I went for training today, the first time after many weeks. Desiree dragged me along and thankfully there was an extra Team NJ shirt in the fanroom. Hahaha I really didn't feel like training then because I was feeling sleepy ( well i always sleep late >_> ) so I was um, encouraging Mr Heah to leave early LOL. We trained in the end, and I SUFFERED THE WRATH OF JOANNAHHH.

I HATE JOANNAH'S MENTAL TRAINING BECAUSE IT'S NOT EVEN MENTAL TRAINING AT ALL! IT'S LIKE MAJORRRRRRRRRR DISTRACTION LIKE THIS BEE BUZZING AROUND YOUR YEAR AND TELLING CORNY JOKES.
STOP COMMENTING ON HOW I SHOOT YOU CHICKEN NENE!!! I HATE FISHES. LOL.
AND STOP LAUGHING!! THE WAY YOU LAUGH IS LIKE SOME LAO AH PEK

"BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, hahahahahhahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahhaha"
wth first time hear ppl laugh like that sia.

"you are in the competition ground, and the door is closing and opening and you see andy sitting behind you "gogogo xiurong" (she states andy because I took his gun out to observe. I like his gun.) and then joannah is beside you but you cannot hear her because you are blocking her out... "pokpokpok little fish pouting when you shoot pokpokpokpokpokpokpok"..."

I HATE YOU JOANNAH.

Thank Hari Raya. Okay so went to Cine Kbox for (supposedly) singing. I woke up really late, like 1015, when we were supposed to meet at 11am LOL. Thankfully I stay at Tiongbahru and not anywhere else, so I only take 10minutes to go Orchard OHOHOH.

And Joannah scared me by saying that KBOX WASNT OPEN, but when I reached there THERE WAS ONE LOOOOOOOOONG QUEUE!!!! And Joannah was playing her stupid shooting game, and who cares about her getting sixth place huh huh HUH!!! lame. nvermind. at least we managed to get into the place. hahaha.

we didnt even sing muchhh because all of us were feeling embarassed and such so blahh, we sang a lot of jay chou songs though it was really cool and of course lots of singaporean songs like

I am talking crap

Handling examination pressure is an essential skill that EVERYONE must have, if he/she/it wants to score well for his/her/its examinations. Because by handling this kind of pressure well, you will be able to remember every fact you have absorbed and deliver it with confidence. This has two advantages. First, you will not put your hours of studying to waste; Second, this saves correction tape as well, so you will avoid the situation of wasting precious seconds/minutes, fretting over this lack of white fluid/tape.

And FURTHERMORE, this will also make the equation of

Amount of effort put into examination = Marks attained during examination
POSITIVE.
I utterly hate it when you know you have studied really hard, burned the midnight oil for one important paper, but end up attaining marks which are below expectations. It is this word, EXPECTATIONS, which really killllll one's confidence.
Or maybe it's just fated that you do not have the flair for this subject, no matter how much time and effort you put into it. Of course, there is a possibility of the above equation coming true, BUT WITH THE CONDITION OF STUDYING DAYS/WEEKS/MONTHS (depending on severity of examination) BEFORE THE EXAMINATION. Nevertheless, one cannot help but curse and swear and simply give up this subject totally when you attain mediocre/L0USY grades, despite putting so much effort into it. It's annoying you know, it's really really really REALLY annoying when the above equation turns out NEGATIVE in the end.
I should stop punctuating my sentences with Capital Letters, it doesn't look nice.

I'm really exhausted

SUX, my internet hung when I finished blogging, so now everything is GONEEEEEEEEEEE.

I will SUMMARISE MY POST.

Iceskating was fun on tuesday hahaha. it had been a long time since I last skated, so i was a little shaky at first but it turned out to be alright in the end. there were a couple-a pros, like

1) this singapore team guy called kevin! He always appears at the most unexpected of places, and he knows how to manoveur (??) his way around the rink with ease, and of course frightening and impressing people with his stunts. AHAHHA Charlyn was so frightened when he suddenly jambraked in front of her, that she nearly crashed into him! LOLL

2) this really cool and sleek guy whom is named Justin as a mnemonic device. I call him Justin because he was wearing this JUST DO IT shirt, the same design as my dp on MSN LOL. okay so he wasnt as pro as kevin, but he looked damn seh skating! kekeke, he looks pretty old though, but looks quite pro.

3) HAHA, this shaggy looking guy whom is named SHAGGY. Named him that because he has seriously shaggy hair, he looks like a dog. Okay la it wasn't his skating but his hair that caught my attention lol.

And that was about it for observation. Kristy seems to always have this constipatd position when she is skating! With her butt sticking out hahahahah!

---------------------------------DOOMSDAY--------------------------------------------

This is so-named for a reason. We got back our results today, and it was DISAPPOINTING.

Physics was DAMN LOUSY. I passed, yes that's okay, BUT IT WAS A LOUSY PASS. I got a C for the paper, which is NOT GOOD!!! Considering that I want to take Physics next year, I'm hovering around the danger zone... Really got to buck up on my physics this holiday....

Math was another upsetting paper. It was so easy, and I was confident of at least clinching an A but of course I didn't... Which is really not worth it lah. I've got careless mistakes for the largest component in the paper, and what's worse is that the careless mistake occured in the first few steps,so the rest of the question is like GONE CASE le la. Sian, SIANNNNNNNNNNNNN.

LA was okay, I passed, but it was not a good pass. Zzzzz, I should've followed my logic and gut feeling while doing this paper. I get the impression that I'm doing a chinese compre paper judging from the way I answer questions.

Humanities was okay too, at least I passed all, but then again, the amount of work you put in =/= the results you get back. ANNOYING LEH. SOmetimes its like you work really hard for a paper, but somehow or another you get your facts mixed up during the examination period and poof! Everything is wasted.

Therefore, one conclusion,

SLEEPING EARLY SERVES WONDERS.

Wish us all the best for the rest of the papers. Would someone be so kind as to give me those "What's done is done, No use crying over spilt milk" KIND OF PEP TALKS??? I know I know this information, but IT DOESN'T GET INTO MY HEAD WHEN THE PAPER COMES BACK.

And I admire Huiwei for having such a liberal attitude towards her exams. IT'S SCARY.

Paprika

I watched Paprika today, as recommended by Desiree. The cover picture of the movie looked really cool.

Basically, this movie is about dreams and the human mind, and lots of psychology and all that. This movie is really abstract, perhaps you'll get a little confused while watching it. The storyline is simple, but its peppered with lots of visions and images that the characters in the movie have.

The storyline is about this device, the DC-mini, which can control dreams while people are sleeping. It's really cool, how you view the dream through a computer device. And the crazy thing about it is that actually dreams have close similarities to visions that you see in reality and that they of course mean something significant to your life ( maybe you all already knw that ), but naturally you forget these dreams when you wake up don't you, and the meanings to these dreams just go to waste don't they?? That's what makes the DC-Mini so speciaaaaaal :D

Well, but there are also scenes of terror and fright, because in the end the DC-mini gets stolen, and once the DC-mini becomes (too) complete, you're able to enter people's dreams anytime, even when they're awake! Hahaha and yeah you'll see people getting crazy and stuff >_> But the effect is darn good when you watch it :)

OF course there are some confusing parts, because this movie is really really abstract >_> I think I'd prefer Animatrix though yayyyyyy

WAHAHAHA EXAMS ARE OVER!!!

Haven't blogged in days, sometimes either too lazy or simply too busy. Usually I don't believe in not having time to study, because it's your responsibility to make time for yourself isn't it?? but woah! This ASS week was darn chiong man, and I finally understood the meaning of : NO TIME!! everyday is stressful... especially for bio and chem... oh gosh I studied till I've got serious migrane. Weird thing is that, I don't even plan on taking bio next year >_> Maybe I'll change my mind. Probably not.

but today was the last paper: chem! the class was nearly nerved out of their senses because of the long speeches that Mrs Cheng was giving. Rarh I nearly gagged to death. In the end the paper was BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, figure it out yourself. If I told you that I wanted to tear the paper up/faint on the spot/really really feel like sleeping because of thinking too much, you'll probably have an impression of what I'm saying. hur.

well, after the exam we didn't do much. Headed to Orchard with Kristy, Desiree, Charlyn, Kaiting, Lynna and Zuiqiu... Chiansiang joined us after that. lol we spent most of the time crapping at Food Republic, window-shopping, and MORE crapping at Starbucks. Muahahahaha, for the first time I've spent quite little money :D And we crapped for darn long, around 2-3hours??? Waste of time la I know, but it was darn funny LOOL.

anyway, I watched TEN EPISODES OF TONAGURA JUST NOW YAYYY
AND I FINISHED THE SERIES! YAYYYYY

I think I am mad.

Its this new anime series that I started watching. I don't think it has a very good storyline since its far too normal... and basically I don't fancy anime that have storylines purely on love since it gets too draggy and loooooooong -.- At least this one is only 13 episodes (very short only leh!) Well, but the storyline is really typical: talking about this pair of childhood friends who were separated because the guy moved out. And OF COURSE, he came back! (if not there will be no story), and NATURALLY, the girl was elated! but PREDICTABLY, the guy changed (for the worse). So it simply shows the little misadventures they have together. Some parts are really funny and lame, but there are parts that are quite realistic... sweet and touching. (:

dreams won't come true until you work towards them.
