what a wonderful day today was. despite lots of time being wasted on a wasted trip to keming primary school to enquire on a CIP program which involved teaching primary school kids.

firstly, the day started off fine. Permutations was DRAINING. I totally blanked out during class. Got to familiarise myself with the mathematical formulas, and quick. I was freaking out during class and my brain just wanted to shut down... just forget about everything else and sleep. but still, thanks those who helped: jingmin, charlyn, fudi (:

Chem was the aftermath of my permutations trauma. I was so restless and exasperated that I started rattling off a whole string of nonsense. Joyce's tennis racket is so much fun! I was testing it by bouncing my hand off it :D And I was spending my time making faces at people during class, like twitching my eyebrows :D And I was telling Fudi a lame joke. I told Kristy too, and she laughed. I told Huiwei and Desiree, and they made faces at me -.-

Q: If a nerd wants to get a tattoo, what would he get?

A: THE PERIODIC TABLE! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHHA!!!!

well, and there was CAAL. Feedback session. the council president didnt say anything at all -.- there was a question posed by the feedback head, enquiring on what are the reasons that the sidegate should be open on saturdays. There were responses.

A: TO GO FOR CCA!
A: TO GO FOR ART!

and some cheeky guys wanted to say,
A: TO SEE YOU!!!

DAMN LAME. nvermind.

kristy, huiwei, desiree and i went to keming primary to negotiate about the CIP after that. took 852 from the opp, and went to the school. it was HUGE, at least larger than my primary school. there were many facilities too: music room, fiboccani FIBONACCI room -.-, BIG ecogarden, track, high elements thingy that you see at costa sands, lots and lots of stuff. therefore, it was more difficult to find the teacher-in-charge of the CIP too. decided to return to the general office to play wait. there was a mirror.

DSC02485
1,2,3,4!
DSC02486
DSC02484

enough of that fun. we realised something horrible.

THE TEACHER-IN-CHARGE HAD GONE TO NANYANG FOR SOME ADMINISTRATION STUFF!

you know where nanyang is?? NEXT TO NJC!
and you know where we're from?? NJCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

what a waste of time, and money. 90c on both bus rides.

forget that stupid madness. desiree and i returned to njc to grab a ride on the buses there to get home. we reached, and desiree accompanied me waiting for 961, but she ran off earlier to put sth in the range, since it was closed earlier. anw, the bus took so darn long, it was around 30mins, i almost melted on the spot since the weather was so hot. after that, went to ikea to get some frames, and a hotdog, and then home. ahh, sleeeeeeep.

I think aliens are cool

you know aliens are really cool creatures. i'm not referring to those with slime-green, over-sized heads, with big black beady eyes which can look in all directions, and those that pee from their fingers (watch scary movie 3?)

I'm talking about those who have wings and can fly, and those who have endless amounts of money in their pockets, those who have ESP, those who have a queer knowledge of the unknown. actually anything thats unusual can be counted as an alien you know. basically i can call the whole class aliens. you know why? because.

for example,

kristy can be an alien. because she has unusually tall height.
desiree can be an alien, because she is so unusually lame till i get speechless,
huiwei can be an alien, because she unusually enjoys acting cute so much i wonder why i never fall for it (HMM.)
minlu can be an alien, because she has an unusually high-pitched voice.

oh, I can be an alien, because i have an unusual tolerance for such people.

I really think I'm wonderful :D because i am an alien.

anyway, this was simply random. i enjoy typing random posts now, don't you think? and I enjoy making faces at people during class. especially twitching of the eyebrows ;) I'm gonna get the next person in trouble soon :D

i think i will rant about the whole class being aliens if i have the time. im sure i can think of something unusual for our class. and we'll be called alien class! how cool is that! :D

Special Mention

Special Mention to Desiree Chaw Lock Man

who has consistently edited my posts and embarrassed me by displaying my horrible mistakes in broad daylight for the benefit of those who are reading it. She is in charge of editing the Grammatical and Vocabulary section, which plays a huge role in conveying the message of that day's post across. Here's a toast to her.

Open Day! Well, there was nothing much: merely the same ol' stuff of teachig people how to shoot, and wondering why they cannot follow instructions, or wonder why our explanations are really that lousy. Hahaha, so far ive only seen one outside school person follow instructions successfully, some st nicks girl, and shes really CRAZYY. like laughing all the time lol.

OHYES! there was free popcorn and icecream XD I think the person in charge of the icecream booth was a bit pissed with those who kept getting icecream, but well, it's free! It's not our fault x( Ohyea and we took some for the rest of the Rifle Girls lor! it's not like we ate four icecreams on our own :X

Desiree and i were observing all the cool reactions that people have when they shoot well. It's like

"EH! NOT BAD LEH!" "WAH SO PRO SIA!" "EH TEN LEH!" *nudge nudge nudge*
LOL there was this really gay one, where the guy was like, "WA... 不错!" and he was rubbing the guy's shoulder. it doesn't sound much of a big deal here, but in reality it's really gay.

yeah that was about it for open day. I should have taken a few photos right? well, i didnt. ohyes, and the response for this open day was really bad, I expected a consistent flow of people throughtout the whole open day. But well, considering that open day was on a FRIDAY, and it was in the middle of PRELIMS, you can imagine how bad the response is. -.-

Today was an ordinary day, but of course in an ordinary day there are bound to be extraordinary things, no matter how mundane they are. Sounds contradicting? It all depends on perspective.

Anyway, today was extraordinary because

1) Desiree cut herself without her realising it! It was either a scratch by someone/or by herself. Before she knew it, she realised she had a crack on her fingernail and one above her finger. And blood was literally dripping. -_- She still had the warped sense to think "Hmm, I am bleeding under my finger."

2) OMAGOD FUDI GOT FULL MARKS FOR HIS MATH TEST! I AM SO JEALOUS ): I don't know whether wanyun took the picture where he shook hands with Mr Loh, but it was PRICELESS.

3) On the bus way home, I saw this indian boy running for the bus. I wondered whether he would get onto the bus, but well the bus was travelling pretty fast, so I reckoned he wouldn't. Eventually, he CAUGHT UP with the bus, and he even managed to catch up with such a speed of the bus, and SPRINTED the distance of, um, hwachong's second bus stop and opp nj busstop.

4) I realised that there are more super junior and dbsk fans than I thought lol.

5) OH yeahh, and I realised that there was an unknown cut on my toe too. There was blood, it was bleeding. Now it isn't. Now, it's disgusting.

That is all. :D Although she won't see this, I hope minlu will stop complaining and be happier soon (:

OHyesh, and do you want to know what horrible thing I did yesterday???

I LEFT MY FEW MONTHS OLD LAPTOP IN THE RANGE, HOW STUPID IS THAT.

Of course I found it.

I should really shirk off this forgetful habit of mine. I think I have about three waterbottles in the range. Pretty handy.

FURIKURI!

:DD FURI KURI!

i wanted to use flickr, but the picture ended up getting cut and my html codings were all over the place, so resorted to blogger instead (: it's still in flickr though.

i did something horrible today

I don't wanna talk about the horrible thing that I did today, so I decided to blog it.

No, it's not backstabbing or getting backstabbed; losing money or making people lose money; tripping over people or getting tripped; seeing cockroaches or making people see cockroaches

Definitely, it's something that makes me upset and disappointed in myself, that's why it's horrible. It's such a bad habit of mine, I should shirk it off.

sigh

anyway, goodjob for the shooting banner everyone (:

I keep bursting into fits of laughter whenever I look at this short but DAMN LAME 12second LA video.

"PRESENTING... THE GREAT! HEALTH PLAN!! WOOT WOOT WOOT WOOT!"
and the SIDE-BUTTING!

I wonder at how kaiting manages to think up such innovative yet lame ideas.

You know what it means when...

You know what it means when...

1) Aluminium bars are erected on your pathway back home
2) Wooden platforms are balanced on those aluminium bars
3) There are arches with curvy clouds and fishes, and golden pavilions and chinese-y paint
4) You see loudspeakers placed at strategic places........
5) and when RED PLASTIC SEATS ARE PUT UP......

YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?!?!?!

THIS MEANS.

I realise that many people are in a chao hiong mood, to complete our endless supply of hwk. Its good isn't it! But it gives those who haven't completed their hwk stress >__> Like ytd, I was having a perfectly normal conversation with Shanti, and she HAD to say "I can't think of a proper ending for my LA," I was APPALLED, so I couldn't resist saying, "I HAVEN'T TOUCHED MY LA,"

Why is everyone so fast! And there is huiwei who was talking to me about LA today, and Minlu who told me that she finished her LA already, and FUDI who has finished his LA too! What is the world coming to! Everyone is becoming hardworking! Not that it's a bad thing. But it makes ME look bad!

(while getting inspiration for my LA today) (actually more it was more of sudden urge), I decided to watch Animatrix! :D Yes, judging from the name, it has something to do with The Matrix, just that this is more graphical and cooler as well.

It's a collection of nine short animation clips produced by renowned animation producers, namely
1) The Final Flight of the Osiris
2) Second Renaissance ( Parts 1 and 2 )
3) Program
4) Matriculated
5) Kid's Story
6) Detective Story
7) Beyond
8) World Record

Animatrix was directed by Jack Fletcher, also the director who brought in fantastic voice actors for games like Final Fantasy X! Yes, it is the voice actors that bring the show to life. As well as the brilliant animation skills and art that make this movie one of its best. Its something like the Matrix: questioning the truth behind human life and finding out some absolute truth that points to apocalypse. Sadistic yes, but its quite awesome.

I love Second Renaissance best, but I have to admit it's quite gruesome and morbid. Basically, the setting takes place way into the future, where humans and robots live together with one another. Robots were built by Man, so naturally they become our slaves. (....) As time passes, Man takes Robots more and more for granted, and the Robots start overthrowing in a robotic rebellion. The whole war process and the rebellion is quite an eye-opener, but it also sets you thinking on how we are improving on our lives now. The bigger the improvement, the bigger the disadvantage.

I like World Record as well. Well this short clip talks about humans realizing the presence of the Matrix through other methods besides intuition. It talks about this World Class runner who chances upon the Matrix through an extraordinary method that surpasses all human limits. The Art isn't to my liking, but it really conveys the message hidden within well.

Of course there is Final Flight of the Osiris, with its realistic animation features and graphics.

And a little of the others...

Kid's Story
Detective's Story
Beyond

Yes, basically the Animatrix revolves around the anomalies in human life, that we so carelessly overlook. It's rather queer what we can find if we peer deeper. (:

Shooting Club Chalet

haha overall, it was quite fun. i didnt stay overnight though, because well my parents dont allow >___> ( "no compromise!" mother says) the chalet was at costa sands pasir ris, but the room is really small. It's like a walk-in hotel: the first thing you see are the beds. ah, cosy huh.

i met desiree, zhirong and andy at 3.20pm where we got to get stuff. whitesands shopping centre changed a lot, the escalator in the middle seems to have disappeared, but thats not the main point. we got our stuff: lots of fishballs, sausages (rmb 2b chalet, dicks and balls... LOLLL), and yes corn, and stuff. made our way to costa sands after that.

nothing much after that. desiree and i decided to look at the pistol and rifle boys play frisbee. they were not bad, it was rather entertaining, and zhirong was being gay as usual. i brought my water bottle along, and leonard and shengrui were drinking from it so often, desiree said we could just be bench people instead. yes, lets refill the waterbottle with (sea)water so everyone can drink it! (ok this is lame)

desiree, shujen, zestin, shengrui, yuyan and i went to play frisbee after that too. shengrui was darn pro at throwing and catching, he looks like a dog! hahaha he was trying to catch the frisbee with his teeth. we didnt play ultimate frisbee, bt merely a monkey game where yuyan was monkey most of the time. it was quite fun hahahaha. by the end of the day most of us could play frisbee pretty well (:

ohyeah and desiree and i played a little cards with the archer girls as well :D i didnt eat much at the bbq too, so i was trying to nick food wherever i could ^___^

thanks joannah for fetching me to pasir ris MRt today (:
and happy belated birthday to alex and jiapei!

halfday! the long-desired day has finally descended... with a price of having tons of projects and homework. >_> But I shan't be pessimistic, it was still fun.

National Day celebrations in school first thing in the morning. Well it started off with the standard flag-raising and stuff, but of course with the standard bringing up of the Singapore Flag up the stand. The anthem and pledge seemed to be recited extra loudly too, weird. That was followed by performances and fun: mascot stuff, 3-minutes of fame (COOL BEAT-BOXING) and stuff.

I think I spent most of my time going to the snacks corner or the toilet, or merely standing at a corner stoning. And teasing Minlu for the fun of it.

Went out with Kristy, Huiwei, Desiree, Minlu, Lynna, Charlyn, Amalina, CS, Fudi, Jiasheng, Zuiqiu and Zichao from 05. Kaiting didn't go unfortunately ): We went to Cine to get tickets and O.o they had like 10+ shows in one day?! And the good thing is that they weren't all selling fast XD Yay.

Overall, I'll give the movie 3.5/5. On the bright side, some of the scenes were really touching, and I think Jay wanted to give it an old, classical and elegant feel, thus the antique-looking setting. I personally liked the old piano building since it has a very mysterious yet warm feeling about it. On the down side, the scenes seem to progress rather quickly, from meeting->relationship->"till death do us part". It seemed a bit unnatural that it's like that, but well, it's a love story >__> It was rather complicated as well.

see more! http://www.the-movie-critics.blogspot.com

Well, the scenes do leave lasting impressions (:

We went out after that, and just hanged out at Heeren, looked at CDs and stuff... Nothing else after that. Oh but Kristy, Ama, Minlu and I left earlier though cos felt rather tired and all... We went to Taka library for a while because I had to return books. Hahaha, saw Wanyun, Andy and Xiangyin at Taka! As well as many other NJC people, like Audrey's Sister, Shujen and Beehim.

There was a hilarious scene that happened at Taka library. Because Wanyun met the four of us (minus me), and did some jumping thing on Minlu.

Kristy "Oh, I thought it was you who did the jumping thing so I said, yo. Then I realised it was Wanyun, so I was like, HI~!"

Xiurong "HUH THAT MEANS YOU DONT SAY HI ENTHUSIASTICALLY TO ME LAR!" (HAHAHAHAH)

Kristy "AIYA! we just parted about ten minutes lor! You think every moment we say HI!!!! so enthu to you meh! Like this!"

*walks off and ignores me*
*turns towards me after ten seconds and eyes widening in surprise*

"EH HI XIURONG!!!!!!" *SMACKS BACK*

--repeats ritual for two times---

It was darn funny.

yeah but well, we walked around orchard library. Orchard has a lot of manga, but it doesnt have any decent books -__- I saw a cool book on Dogs though.

Then went home with Ama and yes that was about it. Happy Holidays!

I'm tired. I've finished my tuition hwk, and some math ytd. As well as Geog essay. Besides projects and some revision, there's nothing else to do...

Well, I'm at Denise's house now, and she's sleeping behind me. She had a whole day's worth of practical, which is like totally crap I feel. I was supposed to wake her up but she's not budging -__-

There's nothing to do on the Internet too. No Anime; Manga? Nah. I was browsing through some picture of kittens, and concluded that nothing, nothing, nothing, beats the real thing.

Friday, August 03, 2007

well, this post has been long overdue since my previous post... which was when? *checks. On tuesday. I've been keeping this hope high, perhaps wondering whether a miracle would come running along some day. Unfortunately, there are no such things in life regardless of whether you bother to work towards it or not, regardless of yourself not having a certain criteria to work towards but still follow where your instinct tells you. Most of you all won't know what I'm saying.

THE CAT IS REALLY GONE ALRIGHT, I CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE!!!! IN THE DRAINS, UNDER THE STONE TABLE, UNDER THE LETTER BOX, IN THE OTHER DRAINS, IN THE OTHER DRAINS IN THE PLAYGROUND, IN THE PLAYGROUND, IN THE CARPARK, AT THE OTHER BLOCKS ETCETERA.

Life is unfair. I really should have put the kitten into the box that day and brought it up to my house. I was more concerned about the kitten's uneasiness in being in box, and forgot that (thanks to denise's reminder) that ANIMALS GENERALLY DON'T LIKE BEING KEPT IN CONFINED PLACES. Therefore, if I brought it up to my house, it would be fine, wouldn't it???? ANNOYING.

Now I have to live in sadness without the comfort and security of having a source of affection that wouldn't mine me fawning over it. And would respond in kind, unlike lifeless soft toys which er, allow us to hug them but not them hugging us.

Nevermind, Nevermind, Nevermind!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was an eventful day.

I was late for school. I woke up 6:47am because the alarm wasn't working. I was nearly late for school, and the tapping system wasn't working. The one at the canteen wasn't even on, I wonder why they place it there.

I realised I left my vectors homework AT HOME. So I had to chiong it during Chinese/GC/Break/Math Lecture. It was much to the displeasure of my chinese teacher >__>

I missed out quite an important talk during GC. Mr Khoo and Ms Raaha were talking about scholarships, and they were making it seem like it was the end of the world. Well, it usually is. PSA bonds are really serious, and if you break them, Singapore makes you pay exorbitant fees of up to 5 digits. Scary! But scholarships seem to be the way to go...

OHYAH YOU CAN VISIT KRISTY'S BLOG FOR A FULL REVIEW OF SCHOLARSHIPS AS DESCRIBED BY HER. It can fully express students' anxiety. LOL

Lynna ROCKED Geog lesson. SHE CAN CRAP VERY WELL MAN WOOHOO

LA was discussion, discussion, and cramming of ideas and deep confusion.
