Hokkaido - Tokyo 2007 [Chapter 1]

CHAPTER ONE BEGINS.

After a warm good night's sleep, it was offically our first day of touring! My sisters and I were so excited to get into the outdoors, because it was really snowing! As in, snow really falling down from the sky! I didn't know that when snow fell, it looked like those fake snow that Singapore provides. Geez, it's pretty impressive.

Our first stop was Asahiyama Zoo. The only things we saw there were penguins, seals and polar bears! Unfortunately for us, there wasn't enough time to see the lions and tigers. The penguins are so handsome! I like their colours. And the polar bear stunk.

I bought this toy cheetah/jaguar from the souvenir shop, and it's so cute! There are other cute animals too (:

We ate lunch at this ramen restaurant, in ramen village. The ramen was really good! I liked it a lot, especially the soup. My father said that the ramen tasted like instant noodle -_- But it's much better, really.

The main event of the day was... sledging! At least that was how the tour guide pronounced it. We went to this ski mountain, and (after our horrible experience in Korea), we decided not to try skiiing (: We did sledging instead! And my sisters and I and my father were sliding down this mini hill. It was greaaaaaaaaaaat fun XD

We changed hotels that day, and sadly there wasn't any onsen. This room was... pretty creepy. Since it was dark and all.

===================================================

The following day was normal touring... Mostly shopping really. We went to this music box and chocolate shop. The music box shop was really quaint! The shop was made entirely out of wood, so it had a classical feel to it. You can hear the tinkling sounds coming from the musical boxes all over you, and they are designed very exquisitely! I bought one; it was simple, but the music is lovely; First Love from Utada Hikaru.

There was the chocolate shop too, which was pretty modern. It sells rather famous chocolate from Hokkaido, so my mother bought quite a lot.

We ate lunch at this seaside foodhouse on that day. It was the best lunch that I have ever eaten this holiday! We ate seafood, and zomggg, it was the best seafod that i have ever eaten (: There were LARGE scallops, and LARGE crabs, and fish? All freshly caught and grilled on the spot!

We had a little free time to ourselves too, before we went to the seafood restaurant. My mother bought this painting from an old artist on the roadside.

There was this shop where we bought lots of chocolates too. There was really really cool merchandise there as well, I should have bought the bag that says KUMA! Hurhur, so many versions of Puma as well, but hahahaha they are all darn hilarious XD
