Tree in Heaven

Finally finished watching Tree in Heaven yesterday! Ahhh, and it's such a moving show ): There are only 10 episodes, so its quite successful for them to accomplish such a touching show within a short period of time.

Hana is a young girl who lost her father at a young age. Her mother marries a Korean man, who eventually comes to Japan with his son Yunsuh. Yunsuh is well, autistic and doesn't talk much since he was deeply traumatised by his mother's death. However, Hana is quite fond of her dear brother and sets out to make him open up, showering him with care and kindness. Slowly, he starts to open up and finally start speaking and yeah, the whole scene is just kinda sweet.

Initially I thought this was all incest, sister-brother relationship, but the directors have a way of making this whole relationship seem very right. And very touching as well. Some scenes just make you smile and laugh to yourself, while others just set you off thinking...
I love the soundtrack of the drama too, especially 书信 sung by Jung Woo. It's not the main theme, but I think the lyrics are quite meaningful... It's the only song that deeply relates to the show. I only chanced upon the lyrics while watching the last episode. Rarhhhh..

Let me tell you my story
About the time when I didn’t have you
I feel sad that I don’t
Happy stories to tell you

Don’t feel sorry, it’s okay to cry
You’ve been holding it back enough
Close your heart, with me inside you

Don’t feel sorry, it’s okay to laugh
You’ve been holding it back enough
Close your heart, with me inside you

Close your heart, with me inside you
With you inside me

"chuwahae. midoyo. yowoni."
"I like you. Believe me. Forever."
