Bonding Camp! 2008

And it's finally the long awaited Bonding Camp 2008! The time period where there is no shooting, but just clean plain fun for three days.

OR IS IT.

Bonding camp was from 28th to 30th March, Friday to Sunday. I forgot to pack on Thursday night, so I had to rush all the way back home on Friday to pack my stuff quickly. It didn't help that my class ended at 1450, it didn't help that LYNNA ASKED ME TO WAIT FOR QINGYUN TO COME DOWN! And it really didn't help that I had to meet Desiree at Coro at 1700! My rushing skills were put to the test, and they PROVED THEMSELVES WORTHY INDEED HAHAHAH! Despite...

1) The 961 bus taking 10 minutes to come
2) The 195 bus taking 20 (!) minutes to come
3) and ME MISSING MY STOP.

I still managed to rush out of the house in 20 minutes! Bathing and all, and I met Desiree rather on time too :)

Uh, but I forgot to bring my toothbrush though >_> Luckily there was an NTUC.

The camp started off with a basic introduction of the shooting club exco members, and the organisers of the camp, followed by ourselves. We played this lame introduction game, where we had to insert an adjective starting with the first alphabet of our name. I decided to use Xtraordinary Xiu Rong :) But DESIREE SAID XTRA WAS BETTER INSTEAD. T___T And were were supposed to say each other's adjective + name when we were called, but sadly for my wonderful reputation, I got stoned with HENTAIS instead so I didn't really get a chance to say anything.... After that the macdonalds' order came! And Desiree and I got our McFlurry :) Yum. I hope Peixin managed to get her money back.

There was another introduction game, a boy and girl are supposed to stand behind a large piece of cloth, and see who can identify each other in the shortest amount of time. The winner would get to hit the other group's pinata. In the end the GIRLS lost, since there were muscular men in the other group like JEREMY LIM who killed the pinata in one shot. Hahaha, but the game was really fun.

That night was followed by a movie, Remember the Titans. I remember myself watching this movie in IP1... It was an inspirational movie nonetheless so rather enjoyed it. It was longer than I expected too, around 2h+, and it was 2330 by the time we were done. We returned to our classrooms to er, prepare sleeping, but of course most of us didn't. Desiree and I ended up watching this South Park Video that Daxiang introduced, but stopped halfway because we decided it was too dangerous, and I slept. Oh! Kelly joined us in our bonding camp too. She was "sleeping" too, so I was discussing with her how difficult it was for us to really sleep. The reason being: everyone else from the other rooms were in our room playing cards!! In OUR room for some reason?? I was kinda pissed off with them, until Sam finally decided to turn off the lights. Thank the Gods for her doing that. It was 1:30am then. And we were supposed to wake up at 7:00am.

Unfortunately, I didn't sleep a wink at all that night. I was sneezing the entire night for some reason... I think it was because my sleeping bag was too dusty? I went to the toilet twice to fetch tissue to blow my nose, but it still didn't make things better. Sigh, I think I only fell asleep at 4am. This has never happened before in all my school camps.

The next day, we woke up at 7am. I felt so drowsy that morning but still had to drag myself out of table. The first activity was Captain's ball. I didn't enjoy it much because we didn't even get to participate much in the game itself. There were too many males in our team and when there are many males, they play amongst themselves. Females become like, trees T_T. Most of the time I was um, trying to make myself useful by being at the right place at the right time, but other than that, I was playing around with my fellow shorty Mingjie and her fellow tall counterpart, Jingzhi.

Next, it was a balancing game within our group. My group was... The Fantastic Four! Hanxiao, Junyang, Daniel, Gerrad, MIngjie, Jingzhi and I! errrr, but I kinda failed in that game. Two people were supposed to stand on seperate ends of two benches, fall forward and support against each other so it looks like an arch, and walk across a route. It looked quite easy when the organisers demonstrated, but it was more difficult than I thought. mostly, I balanced with Shujen, but we couldn't even get cross the first few steps T_T Sighhh.

The next game, it was bench captain's ball. Two groups are supposed to play captain's ball, difference being that the captain stands on a bench, and the scorer gets to stand on the bench too when he/she scores. For our group, the girls were told to stand near the captain while the boys go down and sweat it out, but the plan crashed under a minute. T___T Reason being, the defender was insanely tall, and the ball couldn't even get pass him ma god. Aw but well, we didn't even finish the game anyway, since a teacher came down SCOLDING us since a NATIONAL EXAM was going on while we were downstairs having fun.

Hmm... Oh there was another game, something like a shuttle run, in which we had to scuttle from one end of the court to the other. The drawback about this game was that only two groups could play at once while the rest WAITED, so I got a little lethargic after a while. I got a little more uncomfortable during this time too, since i wasn't feeling well initially. Felt abnormally hot...

....So I decided to skip all the other games from then on, and SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP. I felt really sick after waking up halfway, and realised that i was burning hot. I didn't dare conclude so soon since I didn't have a thermometer with me and didn't want to speculate my condition. But according to Carol, she said I had a fever so... yeah I had a fever >_> Desiree accompanied me in class while I slept, such a nice kid. and she got me water. and she passed the stuff to lynna they all for me. and she accompanied me all the way from 1400 to 1700! XD so nice.

i felt better after that after taking some panadol, and we went downstairs. just in the time for them to finish playing war games! They were like super wet, so i was rather thankful that i didnt go down at all ^__^ After the game, we discussed our drama for dramamania later and finally got something done. We went upstairs to prepare our things using materials that could be found everywhere in our classroom aka Yanhui's CT venue. Alas! We found coloured paper and glue! Her cupboard is a treasure trove. So yes, we managed to get our stuff and blalalalla ,went down for bbq!

I didn't each much during bbq since I was already sick and all. Ate er, two sausages? and two chickens. That's all. Spent most of my time talking with Des, Shermaine and Yanhui, and realised what a lame bunch of people we all were. For some reason, my bladder was unusually weak and I went to the toilet like, 6 times in 30 minutes.

After that, we finally performed our drama! It was okay, passable. The theme for dramamania was SUPERHEROES, and we decided to use something like the Powerpuff Girls, just that we called it ARGGGGGGGGG instead. LOL, the story takes place in the MRT, where Yanhui leaves a package in the MRT. Everyone is suspicious of it (Oh no! We are in trouble!), but it turns out to be a pack of cookies. Next, there is an attack by a terrorist who flashes her bombs at everyone(Shermain), and the ARG drives her down!!!!!!! Woohoo!

After that, i went home. I really couldn't take the heat emitting from my body anymore. My father fetched me to a clinic and turns out that I do have a fever: 38.4 >_< So i slept the whole night away while the others were having nightwalk. This is the end, my fingers are dying. Goodbye.
