YAYY OBS WAS FUN YAYY


It was a really enriching experience although I returned with, plasters on my foot, unknown bruises that my sisters found at the bottom of my arm, and (wtsss) aching muscles.


HECK CARE LAH IT WAS STILL FUN.


Lol, actually I realised the whole camp just comprises of kayaking and rock-climbing. But both of them were equally as thrilling lah, so it was all worthwhile. Especially the rock-climbing man, super fun.

We did rockclimbing on the first day! We were supposed to climb those normal rock wall things lah. Initially I wasn't so scared since I didn't think that much, then later on when it was close to my turn my heart was beating like shit can. It was even worse when I was on the rock wall itself, because I got no where else to go!! X__X Its either do or die. Cannot expect me to die what, so in the end just do lor :P:P Shujen was climbing beside me, and loll, shes damn zai can. Didn't let out any curses/screams while she was climbing. I think I spouted too many curses already :X

Yeah but well, in the end I still managed to conquer the rock wall lah. :):) It was a wonderful feeling! At least I knew where I was stepping. But gotta thank Binxing for belaying me too lah. Without her I think I'll dieeee man.


There was the Double Dangle Dual too! LOL, that one was more fun, since we could cooperate with someone else. We were supposed to climb these dangling logs all the way up, and it was seriously a whole height up. x_x I did the dual with Shiqi! And woahh, she's also very zai can. In a way taht she dares to do things and doesn't think so much (unlike me) I pushed her up the logs so she could pull me up. And the whole time she was encouraging me too! SIAO lah that height was so freaking high I couldn't even stand it. I know I did it another time with Desiree and she wanted me to step on her thigh. Zzzz almost died can, afraid of squashing her LOL. Aiyah, but they say that we have to trust our teammates! I'm just worried for them x_x

At least we managed to complete the dual both times. Shiqi and I completed the dual first! WOOTT.


This post is getting kind of long.


There was kayaking too! Kayaking was really fun too, and really tests our tolerance and determination to the limit. On the first day, we had to kayak al the way to our new campsite, which was at the other end of pulau ubin. Initially I kayaked with Shanti, but both of us were DAMN NOOB >___<> < In the end, at least we managed to meet up with the others... But by then I was already feeling demoralised and depressed ):):): Like it was my fault that we couldn't paddle properly... So we changed partners lor. I partnered with Andy in the end. Oh, and I was changed to front person. I was at the back at first.

Kayaking was much easier with Andy. Since I didn't have to think so much on how to steer and all that. It was just paddling frontwards frontwards frontwards lol. It was pretty tiring after a while since we had to fight against the water, and my shoulder muscles were aching like madddddd >____< But we still had to persevere on lah, couldn't expect us to die in the middle of sea halfway. Didn't talk much with Andy: he seemed quite stressed out the whole time. Maybe just nothing to talk la. He was changed to Navigator after the first checkpoint. (at some bridge where we saw DRY and CLEAN people cycling pass us, the WET and DIRTY ones) He navagiates quite well, at least he doesn't get people lost. But he also seemed quite stressed out lah. At least he managed to complete his task.

There was one time we got stuck in this low tide place. Wah shit, that place was hell man: the tide was super low! About like, 5cm. I don't know how we can even paddle in that kind of environment, but at least we got out safely. We poked and pushed our way through the mud and shifted our kayak frontwards all the while. X____X It was exhausting but at least we made it out. IF NOT DIE AH.

Zzzz, and I realised that my fruity bar dissolved completely into the water!! Just left some white mushy stuff with fruit and seawater smell. I decided to feed it to the crabs -_-


Our campsite was accomodating. The IP1s decided to sleep on the grass since the gravel was taken. It wasn't so bad, the grass was soft enough. Shanti and I had to sleep on the poncho since there wasn't enough space on the groundsheet. At least the poncho covered lots of the grass below us so we didn't get as many bites lah. (:

When I was starting to sleep, there was some Mosque music that I could hear from Malaysia. Yeah we were that far X_X We could even see Malaysia from where we were. Haha, the mosque music was quite irritating but since it was religious stuff, I decided to respect it -_- And I realised that I was the first to sleep LOL. I'm a fast sleeper.

Then at 1+am, I woke up suddenly,
TO LOUD TECHNO MUSIC BLARING LIKE NOBODY'S BUSINESS.

Wts lah, some weird techno music from "MALAYSIA'S 1998 BEST DISCO HITS". Kao, I felt like slapping them can. Blardi noisy lah!! I wanted to go out and take a look at where it came from, but I was too lazy to remove the poncho. I guessed it came from Malaysia too, perhaps some concert to celebrate what, 30th november ah. (0h thats yunjings birthday) Lamer...

At 3+ I woke up again.
AND I REAISED THE TECHNO MUSIC WAS STILLPLAYING. -_____-

Now it was the remix version of My Humps. I heard it, it was MY HUMP-ing ALL THE WAY. Hump here Hump there at 3+, and at such a volume that would even wake up the tu3 di4 gong1 in the ground. Ughh.... not everyone likes My humps you know.


Well, but at least I slept. Heard from Desiree that she didn't sleep a wink. Poor her.


Ohyah, and the dinner that Crystal and Elaine prepared the day before was splendid. Curry and rice! They are wonderful cooks. (:


Yeah, after that night, we realised that we had to Kayak back to OBS land. It wasn't as streneous as the day before's since it was pretty straightforward. We were kayaking in the sea! And we saw many fishes swimming around. Saw a big fish jump, disturbed a school of fishes, and saw many birds. Partnered Christine this time, and lol, we really can kayak!! :D:D:D We kayaked really fast man. Because at least she could coordinate with my strokes :) Then I partnered Xinyuan after that. It was fun kayaking with her lah, we kept singing funny songs tgt lollll.
